As far as stories, nothing sets me down and captures my attention for a few hours better than a good High Fantasy. Pony-wise, I like the whole grimdark prospect. It shows a real creative mind to be able to take a character from a show like this, and--while keeping the core elements of their character intact--turn them into something dark and twisted.
Still, my heart belongs to High Fantasy. Y'know, stuff like Lord of the Rings, anything by R. A. Salvatore, the Harry Potter books, stuff like that. I'm working on a story now, actually, that I hope to be my contribution to the fandom's greatness.
