Tired.... · 10:39pm Oct 10th, 2016

So... today was the capper on the mess my life has become. First, had to fix the computer. In the mean time, I lost Homelands. It's not in my head anymore. I know what I planned but not how to get there. Secondly, I got kicked from my writer's group. I was a bad fit, they say, and too critical and too negative. It was the best outlet I had for actual original writing and face to face contact. As much as I love all of you on the internet, I feel like I exist increasingly in a world made

Sigh... it's finally happened... · 6:06pm Oct 4th, 2016

Well, this was the worst September in 5 years for me, because it's finally happened. I can't write Homelands. For five years I was able to keep going and going, but now... I dunno. I had a story and a plan and everything, but after 2 weeks of no computer, everything fell apart. I can't feel the story, and what I write now feels forced and clunky. There's no flow to it any more. It's different from writers block is that with that, I know what I want to write, but not how. This time, I

Thank you, universe, I really needed a corrupted hard drive right now! · 5:43pm Sep 8th, 2016

Hi folks. Not sure how long my computer will be working. Several files on my hard drive were corrupted, including chapter 10 of homelands and several other works, many of them originals. I don't know how much this will set me back. I'm hugely sorry, and trying to get an old laptop from my brother so I can keep writing. It's old, but it has word and connects to the internet.

Long trip home and thanks to Horizon as well. · 4:02pm Jul 12th, 2016

I made it home, safe and- well, safe at least. Massive wad of con crud in my head and chest that I'll have to get over. But I will. Yesterday was right out of the ending of MASH, where we started as a band of friends and then slowly dwindled down into smaller and smaller groups. We woke up, had breakfast (Insert Saturday Morning Cafe plug here), and then started to split up. I had to say goodbye to WandererD and everyone else, tried my hardest not to cry, failed, and then had to make my

Best weekend ever, worst night ever · 2:07am Jul 11th, 2016

Sorry. I really wanted to blog about this earlier. Talk about every leg of my trip and what happened every day of Bronycon. Unfortunately, I got swept up in the events and its only now that I'm able to take a moment, reflect, and talk about it.

Unfortunate delays · 5:40am Jun 27th, 2016

Sorry about the delay in Homelands. Saturday was unfortunately unproductive and we weren't able to finish today. Hopefully next weekend. I'll see if I can't get something else out this week. Pinkie Promise.

June Update · 10:37pm Jun 6th, 2016

Okay. May sucked. Not as bad as it could have... but it sucked. Apart from being able to go to Bronycon due to a particularly wonderful donation and folks letting me crash on the floor, it was rough. I'm doing construction work for some extra money for the trip, but if anyone is feeling generous, I'd really appreciate any spare bits.

Worse May ever... but some possible good news. · 5:44am May 27th, 2016

So, this month has been the month from hell. I've been having all kinds of problems writing. Finals. Unexpected bills. It's been a mess. But hopefully I'll get the next chapter of homelands out and the next few chapters of horizons up soon.

Would you like to meet me at B.A.B.S.? · 8:40am Apr 18th, 2016

Hi. I'd really like to see people at B.A.B.S. Con on Friday (the only day I can get free) at the Fallout Equestria meet and greet. Unfortunately I'm broke. It's 45$ for the day and 25$ for gas and 10$ for something to eat. If people can donate 80 dollars, I'll show up on Friday and sign things if you'd like them signed. If not... well, I understand.

Donations can be made at David13ushey@gmail.com. Mark is as a gift, and I hope to see you then.

(15$ down, 65$ to go. Thank you C.)

Haven't done this in a while. Brain drippings for other stuff... · 7:38am Apr 11th, 2016

The Prometheus Effect. Giving the fire of the Gods to man, Prometheus was chained to a rock for eons, his endlessly regenerating liver torn out every day by a vulture. This cautionary tail would go unheeded as a greek scientist, Mari Xanathopolos, discovered a breakthrough in human ability to interact with the universe on a fundamental level. Working with gene therapy and nanotherapy on brain dead patients, she succeeded in reviving a middle eastern refugee, Alya, and soon after Alya began
