So season 4 aired. A fun two-parter with a bit of an adventure vibe going for it. I love adventure, I really do, and this episode had worldbuilding in spades. However I feel that it came at the price of the mane 6 having better thought-out actions, lines, depth and even struggles. The mane 6 kind of felt a little like they were played one-dimensionally there, well, except for Twilight. And the conflict that cropped up between them as friends seemed a little forced...
