I'm a fantasy enthusiast who loves to write, and I'm aiming to be a professional fantasy writer eventually. I love to help out other authors when I can. Feel free to PM me or drop by and say 'hi'.

Distracted by Something Awesome · 3:53am Nov 14th, 2013

So it has finally come. I've gotten Scion of Chaos printed and I can now hold a physical copy of it. I went to my local book story, McNally Robinson, and it was entirely convenient. The cover is glossy, the paper is a high quality and ivory coloured, and it looks beautiful. If there were one thing I'd change with the next book I bring out this way, I think I'd be less conservative on the margin size on the actual pages. Though really, for my first book, I think it came out beautifully. And

Why Not Post an Update? · 7:08am Nov 12th, 2013

Well, I just broke 20K in NaNoWriMo so I'm above the challenge's expectation, but a little short of my goal (by about 1200 words or so... Though I can fix that a little bit each day). Turns out that not writing for 2 days takes a bit of catch up... I still haven't found the time to edit the completed chapters yet. (Hopefully tomorrow I can do that after I write at least 2K more words.) Still, I love having this extra bit of motivation to actually get myself writing. It's been a blast so far,

Sweet, November is a Fun Month · 3:35pm Nov 4th, 2013

So that's three days of NaNoWriMo so far, and I've gotten 2000 words out per day so far. Hopefully I can keep up this pace and finish with 60 000 words written by the end. Also today is my birthday, which is pretty awesome (in my opinion at least). I am now 26, so that's something, I guess.

OC Story Recommendations · 2:32pm Nov 2nd, 2013

I know I'm busy with NaNoWriMo, but if I have some spare time, I'll be looking for OC stories where the OC is well thought-out and a deep character. Let me know what stories you have read that have such qualities. I only can name a good four or five off the top of my head, and I'd like some recommendations for ones that you might have read.

Sweetie Belle Review Fic # 6: Drama King · 4:50pm Oct 31st, 2013

Alright, Drama King, by LuminoZero, is a short Romance, Slice of Life, and Comedy story that I am reviewing on request. It's recommended that one have knowledge of the 'Button Mash's Adventures' animation prior to reading this (there's a link to it in the story description).

NaNoWriMo · 11:09pm Oct 26th, 2013

Because sometimes I just need a kick in the butt and I need to force myself to write. November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), where worldwide participants, do their best to reach a goal of 50 000 words over the course of November. In the spirit of that, I'm going to work on AHoC and Fallen Leaves, all month, sowing 50 000 words between the two. That's 1666 words per day (though I'll aim for 2000). I'll keep my user page updated with a word count once November rolls around.

Free-form Poetry, and Why I Think it is a Good Idea to Practice (Not Too Concise) · 12:39am Oct 23rd, 2013

Writing poetry is something that I have done for a good while now. I have always seen it as a form of writing that is closer, and more a part of me than any of my other forms of writing, and because of that, I'm usually far more critical and careful about sharing it. I practiced writing poetry for a solid three years or so before diving into writing my first novel (Scion of Chaos). When writing poetry, I almost never did so with the intention of sharing it with others, but every once in a while

Fallen Leaves · 5:46pm Oct 21st, 2013

First chapter of fallen leaves is up. If you are int he mood for a Dark Adventure that will eventually lead into Romance, with themes about morality, love, and war, then take a look Here.

I certainly had a great time writing it. Now I just need to get prepping the next chapter of AHoC.
Thanks for reading,

An Audio Recording of: To Seek the Sky · 4:24am Oct 21st, 2013

So, Iron Wolf did a reading of my story To Seek the Sky. If you can find a link to it the youtube page here, and the download to the actual file is in the description there. Feel free to comment on his youtube page and give him some critiques. I'm not too well-versed in auditory endeavors, so I find it hard to offer critique beyond that I liked it, and thought he did a wonderful job of reading it. I particularly enjoyed that it was

Thanksgiving · 9:52pm Oct 13th, 2013

Yay, it's Canadian Thanksgiving! A bit of extra work before the weekend, followed by great meals (my sister is in her second year of chef school, so it's gonna be a delectable meal for certain), hanging out with family and playing boardgames and such... Sure, it means a little less writing than I would like, but my favourite holiday only comes once a year.
