OK, I take it all back. It's actually a fun challenge to write Zecora. The hardest part is actually the pacing; it's not actually poetry, so I can't break the lines where I want them to break, and that means if they were read in a natural voice I need the rhythm to come out mostly right. A rhyme isn't any good if you have to put waaaay too many syllables between the two parts of it.

I am getting so tired of stories where Discord used to be an alicorn, or a pony, and because he falls in love/gets defeated and has his chaos banished from him/other deus ex plot device, he turns back into that and takes back whatever name it was he used to have. Once you've got a pony named Stale Plot Device, you don't have Discord anymore, you've got Stale Plot Device angsting over the fact that he used to be Discord.
