Obviously, CRISIS: Equestria was built on a simple concept: alternate, antithetical versions of the Mane Six pitted against the originals. But even besides that, the concept of alternate selves is a solid concept brought up in a lot of alternate universe stories. Usually, these alternate versions are pretty much the originals with a few small changes here and there that they're still fundamentally the original character.

At the end of September, I will be posting the first chapter of the prequel story to CRISIS: Equestria, CRISIS: A Royal Affair, which focuses on the character of Blackburn and the important events of her life that shaped her into the mare seen in CRISIS: Equestria, including her friendship with her loyal friends and bodyguards, Gadget and Crossfire; her relationship with Briarthorn; and, of course, how she and Lockwood met and became the power couple they are.
