Finally! First chapter in almost a year is out!

I'm actually reconsidering the release schedule for the chapters, namely, that instead of publishing them in some sort of uniform order (e.g. Every Monday and Thursday), I'll just release them whenever they're ready. I already have like 95% of the plot complete; I just gotta revise, add detail, or just put it down into words.

You guys should definitely check out Nothing More. They may seem like a generic rock band on the surface but a lot of their lyrics are super deep and deal with (imo) real human issues. Here are some songs to start with, including the lyrics.

Talked to this cute girl on Tinder. We decided to meet up. She suggested we dine out and even seemed enthusiastic about it. Picked a ramen place and we started heading out. She bails last minute, literally. Told me she’s too anxious to meet with strangers. Insert “4real?” I was almost at the place as is. Oh well. Decided to go to the restaurant anyway cuz I was hungry. Now here I am, eating ramen alone, writing this from my phone. Read the title.

If you’re writing a really long story (say, 200,000+ words), write the whole thing out first and revise before publishing chapters. If you’re impatient like me, you’re gonna end up going back and making changes to published chapters which will likely create inconsistencies for readers who have already read those chapters.

It's finished. I finally finished writing part 5. That only took me, what, 7 months? I hope this was the first and only instance in which writer's block hindered my writing efforts with this story. Part 5 was an absolute struggle to get through, and at this point I'm just glad it's complete. Well, "complete" isn't exactly accurate. It's definitely finished, but I'm extremely dissatisfied with it.
