Usually when a story has such a high percentage of dislikes, I agree and stop reading it. In this case, while I was somewhat unhappy with some scenes, this is a very interesting tale, and well written. I am glad to read the latest chapter, and hope your ratings improve, it really deserves more likes.
If you want to make things right you know what you have to do Celestia. I know you think the prophecy that you can't fully remember and for some reason won't look for a copy of considering someone must have written it down back then. And I can't help but wonder if twilight going be the one they feared because she doesn't have her true love to calm her down. She barely holding together as it is but it is only a matter of time before she snaps. And Celestia short of emergency should not be making medical decisions for her students. She could have sent messages to the parents explaining everything and what she wanted.

Thank you for the kind words!
No kidding, right? (Though being in this situation myself has led me to try to give writers with bad ratios the benefit of the doubt.)
Glad to have you along, feedback always welcome -- even for the bits you don't like.

I for one do agree with your position. I have been following this story now since it began, and I have yet to truly find anything too dislikable here. Yeah, some characters are a bit much to handle or find sympathy with, yet overall, I have been enjoying this fic as it had put me into places and thoughts that I would normally not find in a story. This chapter has gone in a direction where it needed to go, and I am very glad to see this arc coming around. The fact that Twilight was held back by Celestia is a rather stark contrast to the canon, yet here it does seem to make sense, if for no other reason than to cause Twilight to grow, a fact that many writers seem to forget, making their main characters grow and learn while doing the things necessary for story development.
Another good chapter, eiggengrau! Keep it up!
