To be human is to be resourceful. For Saul this must hold true like never before. Alone in a land of warlike unicorns in an age beyond Equestria and devoid of harmony, Saul must make a life for himself in a world of mares, blood and cold iron. (RGRE)

I’m really liking where this is going! Good job.
Very interesting way of writing history. As I understand it, the whole story will be divided into a certain number of acts.
I certainly don't want to sound selfish by asking? But the story already has its own rough basis on which the story arc will go?
I would also like a more detailed description of the city in which "Lord of Brine" lives.
It is also worth noting the disclosure of secondary characters, which are quite organically described in the dialogues and their thoughts.
Hm.
Why did her lance dip? Loss of resolve after recent events?
And what decision could he be alluding to?
A choice to make, maybe?
My guess: Choosing between what her liege lady wants and what her liege lady needs.

The story has been roughly outlined to its conclusion, and I've got a solid idea of how every arc wraps up. Yep! I've actually been thinking of commissioning some artwork for the story tbh. I do have a map that I made myself for reference, and it roughly outlines the look of the city, but it's all very crude, so I didn't want to post it in the story. Maybe some day I'll try to make it prettier tho! Some city plans would also be neat. I'll give it some thought, but most of my free time goes into writing the story itself.

No background in chemistry has been established in previous chapters as of the writing of this comment. 😎

I'm glad you caught that! I've sprinkled a few meme references here and there. I wonder if anyone will catch them all? 🤔🤔🤔
The way this story is structured reminds a lot of those mythological books for some reason. It is hard for me to say my opinion on it because I can't tell dislikes of this story is based the actual writing quality or me failing to adapt to this writing style.

Sulfur (aka brimstone), charcoal, and saltpeter are the ingredients for black powder. Black powder and iron or bronze means only one thing.
A cannon.
Gotta love the Thor: Ragnarok reference.
