Cadance isn't getting any younger. And though a professional career cares for her wellbeing, the fires of youth don't always go out- and a wild streak doesn't want to settle for a life with no risk.
Man Cadence is kinda loosing it. That’s sad, I still hoping these two can work it out and have a proper relationship but it’s not gunna work unless Cadence gets her head out her ass
One good thing portrayed right in this chapter was the safe word. I've seen Adagio as the Dom in countless fics, and only a handful of those have her concerned with any kind of safety or concern for the Submissives' wellbeing. That particular bit was very well written, as was her reactions to Cadance afterwards.
I also enjoyed the way the first time into BDSM went wrong. Too many fics have it going right just because reasons. I'm glad to see it written realistically for once, and that there are consequences to getting it wrong, just as there are wonderful results for getting it very right.
As for Cadance, she needs to reign her libido in a bit or she's going to get screwed, and not in the way she wants to be screwed. Life is rough and it doesn't use lube.
I go into why in detail on the redacted part but Could you maybe add a trigger warning in this chapter or about this chapter somewhere? I know it's meant for impact and all but... Yeah I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me uncomfortable for the reason it's supposed to make me feel uncomfortable, and some people actually need that to wake up. But. I've been there, in a way. I know what clear communication entails and why it's so important. Just saying so me and people who know what I'm talking about know to skip this for their own sanity. If I'd known it'd get to this point... Well. Spoilers. I guess just hear me out huh?
Okay so in the beginning it was sorta fine except the first thing they did was have sex - that's just Not how you start a relationship that you want to last
I couldn't read the whole thing it was a bit triggering for me when Adagio took her tools off the bag. Especially because I knew for a long time Cadance wasn't wasn't doing this right, there was no real conversation leading up to anything. People like, perhaps a little too much, the concept of letting their bodies and non-verbal clues do the talking.... What they don't realize is it's not always like that, in fact for that to actually be true there needs to be at least an understanding of what is going on.
Twilight got none of that. In Cadance's mind the talk about Rarity was enough consent for what happened to happen. When, from an experienced perspective wasn't even close, Cadance acted on a whim and things escalated to this chapter's events with literally no knowledge or consent from Twilight.
Alarm Bells indeed. I will spare myself the anxiety of BDSM gone wrong - especially without a clear contract and a loooong conversation - and skip to conflict resolution because honestly this deserves at least forewarning. I know it's meant to be somewhat educational towards what this kind of scene would look like in this set of circumstances and it's very effective I think, but for those who have no idea what BDSM gone wrong actually implies, this would very quickly sate their curiosity.
“My name is… Dazzle,” the orange-haired woman said, tossing aside her jacket to let the full beauteousness of her form go on full display, barely held back by dark latex corset and stockings that perfectly clashed with the bright colors of her physical figure. “It’s a pleasure to see me, I’m sure.”
Best part of the chapter for me. I do love some stockings. :D
Anyway... You said earlier the antagonist was introduced already. Methinks it's Cadance. And I did legit love Adagio here, too. Professional, concerned with her client, the safe word. Very nice, there.
