I was just minding my own business in my room. TOTALLY not skimping on getting any writing done when I find myself in another world facing multiple choices, and what do you mean I'm not the one answering them!? (You choose what happens next!)
The issue where it looks like Discord is screwing with her mind comes from where previously she was going to do/say one thing, but Discord's magic makes her do something else. When Discord says "but what if they like it?" falls kinda flat when someone is being mind controlled/forced to act like that, it makes it seem like them liking it is just the result of mind control.
That, and erasing someone's mind and past is rather cruel. Why not just create a whole entire Snowdrift, instead of depriving someone of their mind? If the human kept their mind it wouldn't be a problem if the role they were taking on was essentially the same person, but in a different reality. It makes it seem like Discord's intent to erase someone's identity then use them like a puppet to enact another. That's why I think Discord is malicious.
Personally I'd make a vote of "Give Snowdrift her identity and memories back" given "Return Home" isn't likely to win, but that's not an option. *shrugs* Still, even if they aren't sent home you can still make things right, Discord. Return what you took.
9447310 Wait, when did I say he took their previous memories? That didn't happen. That's not what's happening here. Snowdrift remembers very well who she really is, she's just not allowed to say she used to be a human, nor can she call herself by her human name. Simply to prevent awkward questions.
Snowdrift isn't 'getting a new personality' she's discovering parts about herself that never came out, because before she wasn't a mare. Wasn't a princess or a pony.
Yes there are times when YOU GUYS VOTE that she's forced to act or do a certain thing, but she's been very much aware that something is making her do that. It's just afterward she has to deal with what it made her do. I have to have some stuff like that or this story doesn't work as a 'vote for what happens'
If it bothers you, I'm afraid the best advice I can give is don't vote and don't read. :/
What is Sand Gust going to do when he obviously wins?

You the readers will have to vote on it!

What? Really? Oh, well... huh. I was under the impression that they had been mostly erased mentally.

No, I'm a bit concerned you thought so. That's a horrible thing to do.
If you remember anything that gave off that impression, I'll try and fix it.
Anymore chapters in the works? I'd love to see what happens next!

I do need to update this. Ended up moving into a house last month and it's a lot more stress/work/money then I thought.
Hence delays of anything being worked on here.
