It started as a curiosity for Shining Armor, and then morphed into desire. Now, Shining Armor can't get the idea off his mind. It's the sole reason he's unable to shake his anxiety visiting Twilight. He can't stop thinking of Spike's bare feet.
Good chapter; I love a good build-up. I also love such believable characterization. You sure can write Spike's embarrassment well. A couple of my favourite moments for their relatability and realism:
He didn’t like it. It was weird to like it. He just… had a reaction that was embarrassing.
My thoughts exactly, on so many occasions. Like 'fuck, why is this happening to me? I hate this, make it go away.'
Spike found he could not sit without anxiety plummeting unless his feet were flat against the floor or hidden under a pillow. Just having them out felt exposing.
I have done that, a lot. Different body part for me, armpits, but same feeling. Putting my hands behind my head was just not something I could ever do. I have lain in bed uncomfortable, knowing that lacing my fingers behind my head would be the best position and still not being able to lift my arms without getting really nervous. This is while I was alone in a locked room, just for context, that's how bad it's been.
8288855 You got that impression, too? Just something about her phrasing and obliviousness ... She probably knows Spike as well as Cady knows Shining, she could tell he was nervous about something. And this isn't the first time he's gotten nervous about his feet; this is something she's seen before.
I'm half convinced Twilight is fully aware of what's going on.
Looks like there's gonna be a tickle on Spike's pickle soon as well~

I could really learn from this. I currently am trash at describing stuff like this...can't wait for the next chapter.
First thing I looked for when I logged on today
Thanks!
You write relationships so wonderful!
