Sidestory to Fallout Equestria: Commonwealth. A wounded alicorn washes up on the shores of mysterious Fog Harbor, suffering a crisis of faith and implored to 'Be Better'.
The young buck's eventual pained reply dried up Nick's annoyance, stunning the synth detective into eerie silence shared by all the onlookers giving matching sad looks. "You wanted to know about the Mother of the Fog Detective... She's, She was ... Longfellow's wife..."
With the small hints I kinda saw this coming, but still...damn. Also good way to make it different from the game plus him having had a kid at some point. Yeesh! Also a little bit of song for Jar Head and Vira to set the mood for next time
From the corner of her eye, she thought the blue alicorn shifted towards a sea green color closer to her own coat, glancing back sharply at the indistinct shape of her magician's hat and cloak rippling when her mother reached into her saddlebag. What seemed like a bedraggled mass of dirty pink mane resolved back into her mother's clean ribbon of white when she turned to her though, drawing out her warm sweater and smelling it as Vira shrugged and tittered again.
Sea green coat with a pink mane... feel like I've read that before, and she seems to recognize...... oh, oh damn
"Lovely... Not mad... love... All together again... Soon..." The Goddess' face was warm and forgiving, though her eyes flickered with annoyance and paled towards a blank pink for a split second at the pop of fireworks outside.
Oh dear, oh dear oh dear, it's Ocean Breeze, Longfellow's wife... who was pregnant several years ago... and the child probably died at some point, and Ocean in her grief flew off to the one place no one that doesn't have wings can reach. And the Mist makes you hear things, Vira heard the Goddess, the lost daughter heard her mother. And who would a grieving mother hear but her daughter.
Ocean is alive and has been the one making the fog thicker.
And then in comes Vira, a lost and confused filly trying figure out the world around her, still desperate for guidance from her parent.
And who does she meet but Ocean Breeze, a mare trapped in grief longing desperately for her daughter who is gone...
Oh wow if this goes well they can both help each other

And if you ignore the size and the horn, Vira looks a lot like his daughter...
Nice chapter keep it up.
Okay. Three things.
First, drunk Vira is best Vira.
Second, that Glass of Water remix was absolutely brilliant, I had great difficulty stopping laughing xD
Third, ouch. That last sentence. Certainly stopped my laughing dead cold in its tracks...
