Equestria has been a land of peace and harmony for a very long time. Nopony bothers to ask what was sacrificed to make that happen. They will find out soon enough...
cool thing with the Monster Glossary. i can see some of the influences on Dash's design the porcelain mask representing the false face she shows everyone, the bondages her own internal wounds? Like Coco her transformation was torturous so im bating thats why she can never fly again. Her grasping tentacle im weakly guessing have somthing to do with her own needy desires? Though i have nothing on what those blade like wings represent if anything.
7022023 I prefer to limit such explanations to the Monster Glossary to minimize spoilers here in the comments. I know that's probably a lost cause, but that's me. Even so, I'm glad you approve!
Well, Chrysalis explains away a little bit of the mystery, even as she brings more questions to the fore. I'm going to guess the Pale is some sort of force the world itself or Harmony or whatever creates that provides a temporary respite to the Maw, while the Veil itself is the spots where the Maw is actively concentrating its malevolence. Chrysalis is apparently able to full-on see the future, knowing everything that will come to pass in total, and is meta-gaming hard by setting things up exactly so that select ponies are able to save Equestria. Still no idea what it is about Luna that will cause the incident in the first place: I assume something she did when she was Nightmare Moon might have set this up?
Still, Chrysalis tricking a monster into petrifying itself while destroying the other monster? Badass.
Lightning Dust...it would be a pretty good scene if she encountered Spitfire.
Suri Polomare's corpse resurrecting as a monster...that's not good, if it implies that all pony corpses will come back to life as monsters.
Chrysalis is so fucking cool!
