Well u gotea consider this guy life, he worked hard to just have a shifty place now he just does all the things he enjoys doing and gets to live in a nice place with free meals. Maybe he just needs that click in life to do something productive from doing nothing all day.
5822929 That's the thing I don't get about a lot of FiO reactions. "But I wouldn't want that, so it shouldn't happen at all!" Well no, not in your shard. But other shards can have their own rules, and it won't hurt you any.
Want to live with other ex-humans, and compromise on the rules of your shard? Done. Want to never see another ex-human in your entire existence, and only meet ponies that you'll get along with? Done. Want to work hard? Done. Want to wander Equestria, browsing the meadows and sleeping under the stars? Done.

I'm rather disappointed that General Word Reference isn't the commander of the Crystal Empire's armed forces.

One piece of criticism I hope you won't mind me offering, pjabrony - the last scene was very tell-y, and while it was interesting in its own rights, a series of more show-y scenes taking place over a longer period of time, each hinting at the truth, might have been more interesting and fulfilling on the whole.
Still, enjoying the fresh perspective - it almost feels a bit like the long-form of one of Eakin's myriad worlds.
5964455 I can understand that. I don't think I've ever done a showy climax. My climaxes are more of the "HERE'S THE MESSAGE!" version. I'll have to think about that. Right now I'm just trying to get through the last two chapters. Writing clop can be so treacly at times.
But no time for that now. He needed to find Octavia and talk to her. Galloping into the palace, he noticed for the first time that all the inhabitants were faceted liked diamonds. Putting this odd development out of the way, he asked the first pony he came across, who wore the uniform of a guard, where he could find Octavia.
5822890 Then in virtual Equestria, that's what you'd be given the chance to do. But some people are just looking for an easy life.

The Morning After.
Find out where the person(s) you slept with went off to after you woke up!
5823361 Old tagline: "Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard drive?"
