Chapter 4 - A Pegasus Wedding

Chapter 4

It took two years of planning, buying, reserving and inviting, but the day finally came. The wedding of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy has finally arrived. Pinkie Pie had hosted some fun bachelorette parties the night before. For Fluttershy she had a peaceful dinner with a couple of friends and for Rainbow Dash, she had a huge extravaganza with tons of ponies. And she also brought a few private dancers for the lucky mare. But enough of the bachelorette parties, it was the time to unify two mares that are deeply in love with each other.

Fluttershy was busy putting on her custom made wedding dress, which Rarity made for her, with the help of Rarity and Applejack while Rainbow Dash, who was in a separate room, was busy putting on her custom made suit, which Rarity also made, with the help of their friend Twilight. Pinkie Pie was busy helping Spike with greeting and seating the wedding guests, over-excitedly showing each and every guest to their seats.

"Hold still Rainbow Dash, before you make me rip this thing!" Twilight ordered as she tried to get the suit onto Rainbow Dash. She was tugging on it as Rainbow Dash struggled to get her head and wings in through the right holes.

"You're pulling to hard!" Retorted the cyan bride. Finally getting her head, hooves and wings in through the holes she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and turned to face the mirror next to her. "Finally! How does it look Twi'?"

The purple alicorn took a moment to look over Rainbow Dash before answering, "NOW you're ready to get married." She quickly paused when she noticed that her tie was crooked. "Just let me..." She trailed off as she focused her magic onto the tie to straighten it out. "There you are! Perfection!" She said in a voice with the same accent as their friend, Rarity.

Rainbow Dash turned to face her royal friend before embracing her in a friendly hug. "Thanks Twi'. You're a good friend."

Twilight returned the hug and said, " No Rainbow. YOU'RE a good friend. You don't have to thank me."

Rainbow released Twilight from the hug and looked at her before replying, "Thanking you is the least I can do for you. I still can't believed that you convinced Princess Celestia to let us have the wedding in the palace. I thought that there was no way that she would let us have our wedding here."

Twilight laughed a little before saying, "Rainbow. All I did was ask her once and she agreed instantly. She even asked to be the one to wed you... Oops! Looks like I spoke to much." She rubbed the back of her neck with her hoof as she accidentally let out a surprise that Celestia and her had planned many months ago.

Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight with wide, surprised eyes. "OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOShOHMYGOSH!!! Twilight! You're the best!" Rainbow said as she embraced Twilight in another hug that went into the air.

"You're... welcome." Twilight let out, unable to breath.

-------------------------

In another room, Fluttershy was easily getting into her dress with the help of Rarity with Applejack on stand-by incase they needed help.

When she got into her dress, she turned to look at herself in the mirror as Rarity placed the vial onto her head. "Oh. Thank you girls b-but do you think Dashie will like it?" She asked starting to feel the stress every bride gets on her wedding day.

"Are ya kiddin'? Knowin' Rainbow, she might faint with how beautiful ya look." Applejack replied in disbelief before turning her head to her marefriend and saying, "Ya'll did an amazin' job on that dress Rarity. I wonder how beautiful ya look on OUR wedding day." She finished by reaching into her dress, pulling out a jewelry box and presented it to Rarity.

Rarity couldn't help but let out a gasp and raised a hoof to her mouth as she realized what was happening.

Applejack continued as she dropped onto her knees, "Rarity, love? Would you do me the honor of marrying me?" She asked in her Manehattan accent, which she hadn't used in years.

Fluttershy just remained there, standing in her wedding dress as she reminisced about the day that Rainbow Dash proposed to her. A tear of happiness began to crawl down her face as she continued to watch what was happening right in front of her.

Rarity just stood there in shock with her hoof over her mouth for what seemed like an eternity before letting her own tears of joy run down her face. She pushed herself into Applejack and embraced her in a strong and loving hug as she said, "Oh, Applejack. Yes! Yes! Yes!" She began to rapid fire kisses all over Applejack's face.

Fluttershy was smiling widely as she said, "Oh. Congratulations you two. I'm so happy of you!"

Applejack began to hug Rarity to stop the barrage of kisses and reply, "Thank ya kindly Fluttershy." She turned her attention to Rarity. "Well, put it on, so we can see how yah look. Then we can keep helpin' Fluttershy." Rarity picked up the necklace, which had Applejack's cutie mark on the medallion, with her magic and put it around her neck. Applejack couldn't help but let out a, "Wow" as she realized that her cutie mark around Rarity's neck, looked better then she ever imagined.

Rarity took a look at her marefriend and said, "Why thank you Applejack. It's beautiful. Now, that aside, let's get back to the matter of helping Fluttershy. It is her wedding day after all. It is very rude to take the attention from her on the day that everyone's attention should be on her."

"Righ'. We'll keep this on the down low for ya Fluttershy. Ya hear?" She agreed turning to Fluttershy.

"Oh. Thank you girls. But you don't have to do all that for me. I-I mean, if you don't want to." Replied Fluttershy shying away.

"Piss-Posh Fluttershy. It is like I said, this is your wedding day. This should all about you. We can wait until later to let everypony know. For now..." Rarity lifted up the medallion part of the necklace and slid it under her dress. "... I'll keep this hIdden as to not attract any more attention to it. Now, let's finish up. We do have a wedding to attend."

-----------------------

A while later, Rainbow Dash was standing at the alter, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her bride. When the last of the bride's maids got into position, the musicians changed the music from the peaceful background music to the orchestrated song, 'Here Comes the Bride'. Rainbow's hooves began to shake because she knew that she was about to see the one she loved most come through those doors, so that they can be together for the rest of their lives.

The wait was nerve racking. Rainbow Dash could hear her heart beating. Getting louder and louder as time went by when suddenly... the doors opened up and Fluttershy was in everyones view. "Wow" was all Rainbow could say when she saw Fluttershy, for the first time, in her wedding dress.

When the doors opened up, Fluttershy was able to see everyone she cared about. She saw everyone from, not only her family, but Rainbow's as well. She saw her many cousins, many of which she hasn't seen in years, she saw many of Rainbow's cousins, she got to see all of their aunts and uncles, she saw pictures to represent their Grand parents, none of which were alive to see this life-changing moment, she saw Rainbow's parents and finally, she saw her parents, both of them with proud smiles on their faces that said, 'That is my daughter. That! Is MY! Daughter. And that will never change.' She started to become very nervous, but the she noticed the one thing that could give her strength, courage and pride, Rainbow Dash. She was looking right at her mouthing the word 'Wow'. She found the courage she knew she would get by looking at her and began her path to the alter.

They stared deeply into each other's eyes wanting nothing more than to be together. As Fluttershy made her way to Rainbow Dash, the Cutie Mark Crusaders bounced in front of her dropping rose petals onto the white carpet of the isle. As they reached the end of the pathway, the Cutie Mark Crusaders dispersed to the sides to make way for the beautifully shy bride. Fluttershy walked until she was beside her handsomely dressed bride who only took her eyes off of her when she blinked. As Fluttershy got into her position, a regal figure began to descend from above. It was a white alicorn who shined as bright as the morning sunlight.

Fluttershy nearly fainted when she realized who was coming to pronounce them as mare and mare. "P-Princess Celestia?" She said softly to herself with a very surprised look upon her face. She pulled her head back down to look at her fiancé. Rainbow Dash was just looking at her, smiling because she was able to surprise her with something this amazing. Fluttershy's eyes began to tear-up from the amazing surprise that Rainbow planned for her, despite the fact that it was Celestia herself who had planned it. She just wanted to reach over and just give Rainbow the biggest, longest and most loving kiss that could ever be given, but she knew that she had to wait. So that's what she did.

Princess Celestia landed behind the two mares and began to great everyone. "Welcome, my little ponies, to the wedding of these two mares. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy." She proceeded with the rest of the ceremony.

After few minutes.

"If there is anyone who does not agree with the unity of these two, speak now or forever hold your peace." There was a short pause which seemed like an eternity for both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. The voice of the regal princess ended the dreadful silence. "Now, do you, Fluttershy, take Rainbow Dash, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do you part?" She questioned said pony.

Fluttershy, still looking at the love of her life, continued to smile lovingly while simply replying, "I do." Her heart beating faster out of love.

The Princess nodded and continued. "Do you, Rainbow Dash, take Fluttershy, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do you part?"

Rainbow Dash, out of sheer joy, didn't hesitate a single second to reply to the Princess. "Oh, you bet I do!" She replied her heart pounding with love for Fluttershy.

Princess Celestia nodded and raised her head before she proclaimed, "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, mare and mare. You may now kiss the bride."

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy gently leaned forward to enter the loving embrace which unified them together forever.

The crowd then rose and applauded the newly weds as the couple pulled away from their unifying embrace. Then came the wedding reception and, with the help of Pinkie Pie and Rarity, they had the most amazing reception since the wedding of Princess Cadence and Shining Armor. For their first dance as mare and mare, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash pulled out this amazingly complex dance number to a song that they put together themselves. With Rainbow Dash being an extreme athlete and Fluttershy knowing who knows what in her "bag o' tricks". Using their wings to their advantage, they were able to pull off dance move which were sought out as impossible to the most professional dancers. But with the elegance of Fluttershy and the awesomeness of Rainbow Dash, they made it possible.

They started in each others hooves in preparation of the dance. When the music started they began swaying along to the slow music. They then pulled up into the air making there slow dance on the ground become a slow aerial routine. Then it became more complicated as Rainbow spun Fluttershy around so that they were facing the same direction. Normally, this would be impossible as the one that was spun around would not be able to flap their wing, but with Rainbows athletic strength and Fluttershy's lighter weight, Rainbow was able to easily, steadily, and gracefully fly for both of them as they continued to sway in their new position. Then, when the music sped up slightly, Rainbow proceeded to spin Fluttershy away from her. When that happened, Fluttershy spread her wings so that as she spun away, she would slowly glide to the floor spinning. Rainbow lowered herself accordingly along with the descent of Fluttershy. When they reached the ground Fluttershy took quick light steps back to Rainbow Dash. When she reached Rainbow, her wife spread her wings up high and wide and stepped along side Fluttershy creating a more angelic look to Fluttershy. After a quick second Flutter spun to face upward as she began to fall to the ground which at that point caught her and kept her from hitting the floor as they continued to step quickly. When they stopped Rainbow tossed up Fluttershy into the air to which she opened up her wings and kept herself up in the air. She then proceeded to spin herself as she were a floating ballerina. Rainbow seemed to mirror Fluttershy from the ground as she spun around like her wife above her. The then proceeded to step quickly in the direction they stepped from before pirouetting every few steps completely in synchronicity with each other. Rainbow stopped a few steps before Fluttershy. Rainbow them began to fly up as Fluttershy let herself drop into the arms of her ascending wife. Rainbow caught Fluttershy and proceeded to fly upwards in a smooth manor. After rising a few feet Rainbow and Fluttershy broke apart from each other and proceeded into a backwards descent. They both then completed their sort of backflip and proceeded to fly toward each other at a fairly quick speed. When it seemed like they were about to crash they swerved and reached out a hoof to each other. They both grab on and remained in the air as the spun vertically at the point where their hooves met creating a display of a large blue and yellow circle with a pink and rainbow outline. They then broke apart and made their way to the floor to which they both landed on their hooves a good 25 feet away from each other. They then stepped quickly towards each other. Nearly colliding, they slow down to slow walk around each other with a single hoof softly on the other's cheek. When they stopped walking Rainbow pulled in Fluttershy into their original starting position with the same swaying motion as before and just before the song ended they entered into a long loving kiss which signaled the end of their first dance together as a married couple.

When they finished their dance routine, the crowd applauded and cheer for the most amazing and the most beautiful performance they have ever witnessed in their lives. After the applause died down and everypony in the crowd dispersed to their appropriate tables Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy searched the tables for their parents and they found them doing what seemed like what was going to be impossible for them to ever do. But their, at the same table, were the parents of both mares laughing talking and having a good time in each other's presence.

Before the wedding had occurred the couple went to visit both parents as a couple to personally invite them to the wedding. They only wished that it went better then it had.

--------------------

Three months ago:

They first went to the home of Fluttershy's parents. Rainbow held her marefriend's hoof as they knocked the door and waited for somepony to answer.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The two of them waited patiently, hoof in hoof, when the door began to open. When the door was completely opened, the couple were able to see a large, muscular, light-brown pegasus stallion with a crimson red mane and close to his side was a light-blue pegasus mare with a mane as white as the winter's snow.

"Fluttershy, my little girl! How are you? You haven't come for a visit in a really long time. To busy with your animals to come visit your parents every now and then?" The stallion greeted his daughter with a loving hug.

"Hi, Daddy. I'm sorry I wasn't able to visit you. We were actually busy saving Equestria from evil." Fluttershy said returning the hug she was receiving from her father.

When they released each other from the welcoming embrace, Fluttershy's mother replied, "I hope you didn't get hurt."

"I'm fine Mom. Really, I am." She replied to her caring mother while being released from the embrace with her father. She took a step back to stand next to her marefriend before continuing, "Mommy, Daddy, I'd like you to meet Rainbow Dash."

"Ahh! So this is the famous Rainbow Dash we've been hearing about since you were a filly, huh?" The light-brown stallion turned his attention to Rainbow Dash. "Well, it's very nice to actually meet you." He extended his hoof forward to greet the cyan mare in a hoof shake. She quickly returned the gesture as the stallion continued. "I'm Crimson Angel and this is my wife, Snow Fall." He gestured to the mare standing beside him.

"It's very nice to meet you."

"It's great meeting you, too. Um, may we come inside? There's something we'd like to talk to you about." She asked before the conversation became any longer.

After a quick glance at each other, the to lovers moved to the side to allow their daughter and her friend pass through.

After they entered, Rainbow Dash followed Fluttershy to the living room. They sat together on the love seat as the married couple entered and sat on the couch before them.

"So what did you want to talk to us about?" The lovely blue mother asked.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash shared a quick glance with each other before Fluttershy spoke. "Um, Mommy. Daddy. I-I'm getting married." She said, her heart pounding for fear of what her parents may say... or do.

Fluttershy's parents were very surprised. Her father, eyes wide and mouth in a shocked frown, nearly collapsed and fainted while her mother was putting a hoof over her smiling mouth as she gasped for air and jumping back a little before saying, "Oh, congratulations! Oh my little Flutters is growing up so fast. Next thing you know, you're gonna have a foal or two of your very own."

Her father decided to get straight to the point. "So who's the lucky stallion?" He asked not knowing of Rainbow Dash's actual reason for being there.

"A-Actually... it's not a stallion." Rainbow Dash answered for Fluttershy as she rubbed the back of her neck with her hoof.

The stallion's expression changed from shock to a perturbed look with the added look of worry as he asked Rainbow Dash, "What do you mean 'Not a stallion'?"

Rainbow Dash recoiled a bit at the stallion's change of tone. Fluttershy then spoke up, grabbing Rainbow's hooves with her own. "I'm going to marry Rainbow Dash."

Fluttershy's mother changed her smile to a frown behind her hoof as her father remain silent in shock and rage. They all stayed silent and motionless for what seemed like an eternity until Fluttershy's father got up from where he was sitting and left the room. After a moment, they heard the front door open and slam shut. Which wasn't very loud, considering it was made out of clouds.

They looked to the door expecting to find any sign of the stallion. Then Fluttershy's mother began to talk. "You know, despite what your father may think or say, I've kinda always know you had a crush on Rainbow Dash. I've known ever sense you came back from your first week of Flight Camp. You wouldn't stop talking about 'Rainbow Dash this' and 'Rainbow Dash that'. You Father knew about it too but he just trying to deny it. You know, he's not exactly mad at the fact that you're...well... you know... fillyfoolers. He's just mad that he was wrong about you."

"So what do we do? We wanted to come and tell you about the marriage and to try and get your blessings but it looks like that second part ain't gonna happen." Replied Rainbow Dash beginning to become crest fallen.

Snow Fall looked to the couple and said, "Well, you have my blessing. And as for Crimson Angel, just let me talk to him. When he's ready I'll take him to come talk to you. I assume you two living together, right?"

Rainbow Dash felt a wave of relief pass through her as those words left Snow Fall's mouth. Fluttershy's heart also lightened up as she said, "Um, yes. Sh-She moved into the cottage with me. She sold her cloud house just so she won't have to worry about it. It was a nice home too, but I just couldn't leave my animals alone."

"Alright. Then we'll visit you at your cottage soon. Oh, and Rainbow Dash... Treat my daughter well." Snow Fall told Rainbow with a stern look on her face.

Rainbow just gazed into the light-blue pegasus' eyes out of happiness and said, "Th-Thank you Mrs. Fall. Thank you. And I promise that I'll do my best to protect Fluttershy. Shoot, I'll Pinkie Promise that! Cross my heart. Hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye." She said with the correct hand movements to accompany it.

Snow Fall just stared at her wondering what the cyan mare was doing. 'That is and odd pony. But if my Fluttershy is in love with her, than I can't hold it against them.' She thought to herself. "Thank you Rainbow Dash, that was very..." She paused looking for the right word. "entertaining."

They then said their good byes, leaving an invitation to the up-coming wedding, and left to begin the trip to the homes of Rainbow Dash's parents.

-------------------------

After a good ten minutes of flying, the couple had arrived at Rainbow Dash's childhood home. Rainbow Dash let out a deep breath and stood straight up with a look of determination on her face before knocking on the door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Rainbow gulped as she lowered her hoof and had begun trembling as she took a step back, away from the door. Fluttershy took notice of this, so she pressed up against the cyan mare and nuzzled her neck to calm her marefriend into a more easy going state. When she nuzzled her back, Fluttershy knew that she was already feeling better, so she decided to pull out of the nuzzle before the door opened. As if on cue, the door began to open and revealed a red pegasus stallion with an orange, yellow and red mane. 'Looks like Dashie gets her mane from her mom and the other half from her dad.' Fluttershy thought to herself.

The stallion look at the couple before him for a moment before his eye widened. "Rainbow? Is that you, Rainbow?" Questioned the stallion. He took a step closer to the rainbow maned pegasus.

Rainbow's face began to blush, remembering how little she sent a letter to him as she replied, "Yeah dad. It's me."

The stallion envelop his daughter in a long, over-due hug. "I haven't seen you in years you silly filly! What? To busy being a Wonderbolt to come and see your old pony?" He joked pulling away from the hug.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eye and replied, "Dad. I'm not a Wonderbolt yet. I actually came here to tell you something. Now, are you gonna let us in or do I have to FIGHT my way in?" She now was in a fighting stance ready to take on her father, if he accepted the challenge.

The stallion got into his own fighting position preparing himself for an attack from his daughter. "I'd like to see you try." He taunted.

Rainbow launched herself into her father and they both fell to the floor of the cloud house. Manes in a mess of hues, they two pegasi wrestled each other, neither of them able to over power the other. After a well fought minute, they got up off the floor, shard a laugh and hug each other again.

"You've still got it, dad." She said breaking away from their playful embrace.

"I'm not as young as I use to be. I use to be able to easily over power you. But enough about that, I see you brought a friend." He said, now turning his attention toward Fluttershy. "Hi. I'm Blaze Burner."

Fluttershy, cowering a bit from the brief fight, jumped back a little at the self-introduction made by the stallion before looking away and shyly saying, "M-My name is..." She quickly paused before nearly inaudibly mumbling, "Fluttershy."

"I'm sorry. Would you mind speaking up?"

Fluttershy stayed silent as she hid behind her mane. Rainbow Dash took note of this and cantered over to her side to comfort her before saying, "Dad, this is Fluttershy."

Blaze Burner looked from his daughter to the mare standing next to her, a surprised smile plastered upon his face as he said, "Ooh. So THIS is the pony you kept writing about in your letters back when you were in flight school. I must say that it's very nice to finally meet you." He turned his attention back to his daughter. "So what, she your marefriend or something? I must say, you've got an eye for the cute ones." He said jokingly.

"A-Actually dad..." She stuttered.

Blaze Burner stood their, staring at the two mares. He began to turn around and walk further into his house than said, "I think you two better come inside. It looks like we have some things to talk about."

The couple did just that, following the stallion into the depths of his home.

-----------------------------------------

"So let me get this straight. YOU TWO... are getting married in THREE MONTHS... and you're telling me this NOW. Did I miss something?" He questioned the mares.

Both of them stayed silent as they nodded their heads in acknowledgment.

Blaze then leaned back in his seat, threw his hoof up into the air and happily said, "Great! Is their any way I can help pay for the wedding. Maybe I can pay for your dresses."

The two mares couldn't help but look at each other in shock. Rainbow then looked towards her father and asked, "A-Are you serious?"

Blaze Burner looked at the two mares for a second then looked at the coffee table between them and said, "Well, yeah! You're my daughter, which means that I will love you, no matter what you do with your life. Plus, I knew you had a little crush on her since you were a filly."

"D-Dad..." Rainbow retorted, now embarrassed and blushing a bright red.

Blaze Burner cut her off. "Now don't you try and go denying it! You're freaking marrying that filly!" He gestured a towards Fluttershy as he spoke. "If that ain't love, I don't know what is."

Fluttershy giggled as she looked at Rainbow Dash with a loving stare. When Rainbow Dash looked back to see Fluttershy staring at her, she smiled and just stared back at her. After a while of lingering in each other's gaze, Fluttershy shifted her focus to the stallion watching them silently and said, "Th-Thank you for your offer. We will defiantly let you know if, o-or when, we need it."

Than Rainbow cut in again and finally decided to get to the second reason they were there. "There is one thing though." She started. "We not only came here to invite you to the wedding but also... to get your blessing." She said nervously.

Blaze Burner just looked at his daughter and laughed before saying, "Dashie. Of course you have my blessing! Weren't you listening to our conversation just now?!" He paused to take a breath and laugh. "I'll be there. I'll be the one standing saying to the pony next to me 'That's my girl! That's my Dashie!'... Well, her Dashie."

Rainbow Dash, moved by what her father said, walked to him and pulled him into a thankful hug, then said, "Thank you, Daddy. I love you."

"I love you two, Dashie."

They all then said their good-byes and the couple left the house with a warm feeling covering both of their hearts. But now they had one last house to go to and something about it made Fluttershy very nervous. Even by Fluttershy's standards.

------------------------------

As the two pegasi saw their objective in sight. They began to descend at a steady pace. As they arrived at the home, their descent had brought them to meet with the front door of the porch allowing them to get a good look at the home. It wasn't a very big home but they figured that there was only one pony living there. Despite the small size of the home, it was still well maintained. The cloud walls were the purest of white and the windows shined in the late light of the sun, which was beginning to fall past the horizon.

"It'll be night soon." Fluttershy said, breaking the long silence which drafted over them as they flew.

Rainbow Dash, with her head hunched over, took a deep breath, then said, "I just want to get this one over with."

Fluttershy noticed this and pressed her side toward Rainbow's as she concernedly asked, "Dashie, what's wrong?"

Dash remained looking at the ground and answered, "Let's just say, I didn't have the best mom ever." She paused to take a deep breath and lifted her head before continuing. "Alright. Let's get this over with." She then stepped forward, raised her hoof and knocked the door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

After a shortly waited minute, the door swung open, reviling an older cyan blue mare pegasus with a green, blue and violet mane.

'Yup! I was right! Half her mom's, half her dad's.' Fluttershy thought to herself, realizing her hypothesis was correct.

The older cyan pegasus began to look at the couple when she stopped suddenly on Rainbow Dash, a look of fear and sadness now on the older mare's face. "R-Rainbow Dash?" She stuttered. The mare raised her hoof over her mouth and began to let tears run down her face. "Rainbow Dash." She let out a sob. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so, sorry. I didn't mean to leave you. I... I just..."

"You just left! You just left me there! On the train!" Rainbow Dash interrupted.

The mare jumped back and said, "I was gonna come back..."

"You didn't even look for me! I saw you on the station! You looked back at me, turned around and you just... left!" Rainbow was looking downwards, starting to cry. "You just left... And you never came back."

"But I did come looking for you. I had to leave you. I told your father to pick you up at the next train station. I couldn't let you see what I was about to do." She stopped to wipe tears away from her face. "I was in a lot of trouble, Rainbow Dash."

Dash's expression became more angry, turning away from her mother. "Yeah. Trouble. What kind of trouble makes you abandon a helpless filly on a train, all by herself?!"

The mare started to turn into her home but stopped half way to say, "I think you should come inside."

The two mares did as asked and followed the older pegasus into the depths of the home. They were lead to the living room where the couple, once again, sat in the love seat as the older mare sat across from them on the couch.

She finally noticed the shy and quiet pony and decided to introduce herself. "Oh. Well hello. Rainbow, I didn't know she was with you. Um, my name's Winter Breeze."

Fluttershy began to hide behind her mane as she nearly whispered, "My name is Fluttershy."

Winter Breeze sat up suddenly as she spoke out of shock. "Fluttershy?" She smiled. "Looks like you found your old friend Rainbow."

Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy as she said, "Yeah. I was lucky to find her." She stopped herself from kissing Fluttershy and turned to her mother to ask, "So what kind of trouble were you talking about?"

Winter Breeze turned her head away from the couple before confessing, "I was one of Cloudsdale's most wanted. The day that I left you on the train... was the day I turned myself in. I just wanted to spend my last moments of freedom with you. I'm sorry I had to leave you, but I didn't want you to see what I was gonna do. I'm sorry." Tears began to run down her face once again.

Rainbow Dash remained in shock from what her mother had told her. "W-What were you wanted for?" She asked in a worried tone, leaning forward in her seat.

The look on Breeze's face changed from one of sadness to one of fear for a moment before she went back to drenching her face in tears. "I-I... I was part of a gang. We did the dumbest things." She sniffled. "We gambled, we stole, we did drugs, but they worst thing we've ever done... nearly killed you." Rainbow froze from what her mother said. "We were in a gang war, fighting over territory. I was leaving the house and I was telling you to stay with your father. But you were to much like me... a rebel. I should have known you would follow me."

"I-I remember." Rainbow stared blankly at her hooves as she recalled the near tragic memory.

Breeze looked up at her daughter, face drenched in tears and mouth open unable to let out the word which caught in her throat. Full of emotions, she pulled her head back down and let out a few more tears. "I... I got mixed... up with the wr... wrong crowd." She let out a sob. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you Rainbow Dash. But I promise, that from now on, for as long as I live, I will always be there for you. No matter what you do."

Rainbow lifted her head to look at her mother. Tears shooting down her face she stared at her worriedly and let out a sob filled, "Mom." She jumped out of her seat and lunged towards her mother. She had embraced her mother in a hug. For the first time in years, Rainbow was finally back in the arms of her mother, both unable to stop the tears from poring down their faces. "I missed you so much."

Breeze broke away from the embrace after a few minutes of staying in each other's arms and wiped away the tears from her face before declaring, "Alright. I think it's time I heard why you came here in the first place."

Rainbow then got up, wiped the tears from her face and sat back down on the love seat with Fluttershy. "Right. Well, Mom, I'm getting married." She admitted to her mother.

Winter Breeze's smile grew wider as she heard the news and asked, "Oh! Congratulations! Who's your special somepony? Is it someone I know?"

Rainbow then shyly grabbed Fluttershy's hoof and blushed. "Yeah. They're not far away."

Breeze smiled and lightly laughed to herself before saying, "Considering what you told me about her when you two were fillies, it would be an honor to have her join our family."

The couple both smiled widely before Fluttershy said, "Oh thank you, Miss Breeze."

Winter Breeze smiled at Fluttershy and replied, "Oh. Dear, you don't have to call me 'Miss'. Just call me Breeze."

"Alright... Breeze" Fluttershy laughed to herself.

Breeze then looked at both of them and said, "Now, I know I don't have much, but if there's any way I can help, please let me know."

"Mom." Rainbow started saying crying tears of joy. She walked over and, once again, hugged her deeply. "Thank you."

They remained in their embrace for a few minutes before Dash was able to pull herself together. "Alright, as much as I'd love to stay and catch up on all those years but it's about time Fluttershy and I get going." She said getting up off of her mom.

"I understand. Please, take care you two." She said as the couple began to leave.

However, Rainbow stopped before she left and turned her head to tell her mom one last thing. "Mom? Dad still lives at our old home. I'd think he'd like to talk to you."

"H-he..." Breeze spoke before she stopped and let a smile cross her face. She sighed. "Thank you Rainbow. I'll be sure to see him soon."

"I love you Mom." Rainbow said as she made her way out.

"I love you to Rainbow Dash." She replied just before said pony left. She looked at a picture she had on her wall of her, Blaze Burner and Rainbow Dash as happy as a family could be. She sighed and a tear ran down her face as she replied, "...My little rainbow..."

Back at the wedding:

By the end of the festivities everypony had their chance to dance, eat some cake, congratulate the newly weds, wish them the best of luck and mingle with the other guests.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were finally married and it seemed to them as if the road ahead would have no problems they couldn't face together. But what they didn't know was that their greatest challenge was yet to come.
