TCB Cartoons
Second Collection!
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The 'New Yorker' styled cartoon collection was something that I felt very happy with. On the advent of completing my last work here of any size - the final Conversion Bureau novel, 'Adrift On Fiddler's Green', I have decided to celebrate with a second selection of cartoons.
So, without further ado, here is The Second TCB New Yorker Style Cartoon Collection!

I don't know if you've been watching this season or not, but I think the filly in the first one is going to become a famous dancer when she gets older:

(Yes, I know, it's just a similar mane style. They're both still cute.)

Glad to see you're still writing. Do you have all the entries listed somewhere, as you did for the first contest?
Nice! Does anypony else think that the jumpsuits in the first one look like Vault jumpsuits from Fallout?
And do Ponies in your 'verse wear horseshoes? If so, is it something that only some Ponies do, or is it pretty ubiquitous? How do Ponies look at getting shod? Is it no big deal, or something unpleasant that they procrastinate on (like going to the dentist)? Do horseshoes affect Earth Pony magic, and if so, how? If you don't have answers for those, it's fine ... I'm just a sucker for worldbuilding.

No contest - I just drew these. A winner is me!

I'm happy you liked them!
The New Yorker Cartoon is... never what I would call... 'funny'. I'm honestly unsure what their deal is. I suppose that the notion is that they exist to generate a mild but dignified chortle - I have yet to find a single New Yorker Magazine Cartoon that made me actually laugh for real. Maybe this is something... wealthy people, or aspiring-to-be-wealthy people think is classy.
Personally, give me Rick And Morty any day, but I digress.
I did my best to capture the style, though. The way the cartoons are drawn, and they way they are written, only that they are represented as if the Bureau was a real event.
So - I agree. WTF, indeed! It was fun making these.

I enjoy New Yorker cartoons - obviously! I just... I honestly don't know why I enjoy them. And that fact fascinates me. Something there is interesting, fun, entertaining after a fashion... but I don't laugh. The whole thing intrigues the hell out of me.
so, stories + comments done!
As predicted, i especially liked one with Celestia and Luna actually be childrens of one specific civilization, outliving their creators. \o/
On Friendship Virus ..hm, I can only guess there will be some movement to alter/undo its effects, even if just from some underground group. Diversity still working.... But again, with most visible violence tuned down - something as 'innocent' as emotional breakage can become more serious ...as you, Chatoyance, discovered .. Humanity's best assholes tend to be adaptive, it seems. May be not as individual beings, but as phenomena ...Today's asshole not necessary openly-violent: playing nice and do shit behind your back/closed doors/believing bad is good - all this more than exist today.
In sense whole MLP can be seen as infovirus, or at least something that acted as such .. on small % of population, for some limited time. Results ...not very supportive for any virus scenario.
Managed to not see these for over a year and a half. Whoops.
Still, nice to know there was one last bit of Chat-ponies for me to find.

Yay! Thank you for reading them!
That last one is sad and terrifying.
