glad to be of service I'm not extremely learned on on viruses/bacteria but I did read "The Hot Zone" and the book fascinated me enough to want to write something like this. You may find that some of it is rather far fetched but i do try my best i promise thanks again for the support!
I've always been fascinated with the carnage a pandemic can create. I guess thats why Ebola stuck out so much to me and interested me Its never been my main focus though. I'm more of a computer engineer type guy. I program in java, occasionally try to develop games in Unreal Engine, I'm a dubstep artist, etc. The topic of disease is interesting though and i wouldn't mind having a conversation sometime when i have time. its 4:30 am right now though so i beleive i will be heading off soon
2910672 Ha, it's 1:39 here in Arizona. You like to develop games and dubstep? We've got a bit in common, though I use the Unity engine. If you're interested in a plague declining an entire species' population, there's this amazing game called Plague Inc, where you play as a disease and wipe out all of humanity. It's a mobile game, but there is a way to play on PC, virus free (pun intended ). Also, I've been working on a story called 'Pandemic', which will be released to the general public when I hit 25 followers (feel free to help). The only problem I've encountered so far in this story is how they came up with it being a bio-weapon; there were some really fast killing diseases in history (take the Black Death as an example. Fun fact: back in the 13th century, they turned the bubonic plague into a bio weapon by throwing dead plague victims at their enemies) that weren't bio weapons. I felt that they could've waited and conducted a bit of research (Twilight), and once they found that it had a mortality rate of 90% or higher, then they could easily say it's weaponized. Other than that, it's pretty good. Anyways, good luck in your future on this site. Oh, and I have a good group to recommend to you: Diseases, Plagues, and Illnesses. You can find them right here. I'll add the story to it for you.
thanks i'm glad for the help i don't do a ton of game dev anymore because i have no 3d artists (people just cant commit ) anyway I agree that I probably should have waited a bit longer but i didn't expect it to be such a long story. It just keeps dragging on and on also i have seen your story. I went to name mine pandemic and added it to the grimdark group only to see that i had been beaten to the punch so i renamed it I've heard of plague inc. but i never did get around to playing it After this story i would love to help you or even help you in my spare time i also do intend on writing another story soon (probably clopfic or something happier than this) so i will be fairly busy with all of it thanks again for the support I'll hopefully be back on tommorow but i need to go get some sleeps at the moment because im starting to look like this ->
2910721 Wait... you saw my fic before we even met? That's... kinda coincidential! When I said help, I meant follow me (then I'd be at 20!), but I would like a proofreader on Pandemic, if you wanna do that. Also, you're new to this site, I saw. I've been here for a few months, I think a clopfic is a good move. As long as it's well-written and not just mindless sex, you'd be good.
And my god, when people see the 'Mature-Sex' tag, they go crazy. Clopfics always get the most attention. Anyways, have a good rest. Good night!
ya i figured as much. With as many crappy clop fics that i've seen that have gotten hundreds and thousands of views, i think mine (which i believe would be well written as i am a moderately practiced author) would be well written enough to attract an even bigger crowd
Yay!! I love this bloody story!!!

I'm glad. now i just need more people to read it!
As a to-be Virologist who is extremely interested in biological warfare....
This story is like a gift from heaven.

2910658 In that case, no matter what, you get an A for effort. I'm around halfway through chapter one, pretty good so far.
I am actually willing to give you some lessons on diseases; spread, evolution, etc. If you want, of course, but it's some pretty interesting stuff.
