i am making up for the lack of information in the first chapter about each type unit here.
For people that do not know Supreme Commander i will post a few things to clear it up i will try and post the pictures here to give you guys a a look.
I have to do this since not a lot of people here don't exactly know this game what what the hell is a Monkeylord since more popular games such as halo, Minecraft , Dawn of war have well been more interested in.
what made me do this story is really based on my accounts during the last mission where i did go on the offensive and nearly died i did have a lot of Megaliths and my Aeon support did die i just so happens as a experimental bomber was about to kill me i completed the mission then i had the good idea to spark this story.
now fort those that don't know what the heck are tiers its like a tech tree tier one is the lowest containing weak and fast units while tier two lets you have more toys that can deal real damage while tier three their the game winners as each faction(UEF, Cybran , Aeon and Seraphim) have unique units that have their roles to play.
The Loyalist is the counterpart of the tier one hunter, its speed advantage is not huge but enough for it make combat in its own terms. (loyalist) (Hunter)
The Monkeylord(which is my personal favorite) unlike other experimental units relies strength and it is classified as a spider bot it can slice through hordes of unit but it is weak on its own ironically but it is equipped with a microwave laser(you can already tell what it is) which is also a upgrade for the Cybran Command unit.
Seraphim assault bots are a big pain in the ass even early in missions even typing about it makes me annoyed.
Command units in the game are well what you get at the start but specifically for the story i chosen the Cybran faction command compared to the UEF and the Aeon i chose this faction because their robot and command unit designs are rather menacing and interesting and easy to guess what a ponies reaction would be if they saw a spiked creature bigger than their leaders coming by.(Note Command units are EXTREMELY TALL AND BIG larger than trees and possibly the size of a really tall hill THE PICTURE IS NOT A TINY ROBOT IN THE BEACH)
Seraphim experimental assault bot the Ythotha is VERY VERY annoying and down right scary if you are about to finish a mission then all of a sudden this guy appears near your commander starts to attack you.
Even if you do destroy it will come back in a lighting shape ark killing everything.
(in the story there were two in the attack)
Titans are capable of surviving a nuclear attack but that is just since almost every thing can wear down their shields thy aren't exactly heavily armored and take less punishment than Loyalist the reason why Blade place them in the middle was because they had shields such as this.
The Percival looks like it came from c&c 3 Kane's wrath and it has the ability to walk under water so it is amphibious and has a ton of health meaning it is heavily armored but has a slow rate of fire and a reload time of four seconds but good guards for command units.
Megaliths are like a four legged spider shaped like a mega bot, it is like a mobile factory but drops eggs that can be destroyed by even tier one units but It can only build tier three engineers, Bangers, Bricks and Trebuchets i will post their pictures along with the Megalith
but i don't plan on using them in the story line since i made Blade like me that hates vehicle like units and prefers to use bots over them.
The Brick powerful and expensive almost referred to as a "Tech 3.5 unit" i use tier everyone else uses tech i don't care they will be more commonly used later on in the story as to how expensive they are adding to the fact how unrealistic if Blade made a bunch of them since he had little to no resources.
The gunships mentioned were Wailers i don't use air as much other than gunships and transports but since transport type of air units were not mentioned (yet) i will only post the Wailer
The Gatling gun bot or Mongoose is a fast tier two bot armed with a frag launcher and a gatling gun
The Seraphim experimental Bomber nicknamed Ahwassa IS A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS and the thing that sent our hero to Equestria (he does not know yet) capable of causing mass destruction and devastation.
ahh good to see that you help the people that isn't playing supreme commander, and yes the spiders as i call them are a pain in the ass
More of a Total Annihilation fan myself but I though the story was interesting and fun IMO.
Admittedly it still needs work like what the others have said. I, myself, think one area you need to work on is presentation. During the last part were he was starting up his base there was a lot you could have skipped, specifically the details of how the base looked like and most if its inner workings. This is my take on the the base consrruction bit of the last part:
"While he didn't know where he was Blade didn't want to be caught with his pants down so he and his lone engineer quickly started building a small base. Once the factory was up he immediately had it upgraded so he can have a number of Hunters built and once the factory started building them he had them scout the immediate area as soon as they stepped out. Spotting a nearby forest he helped build 12 hunters and sent them into the unknown."
Way less details but that is fine let the readers ask questions , you can just reply in detail in the comments. Want people to know how your base is layed out then make a base like it in game and give us a screenshot. If there is anything you mention that you are sure you need to explain to people place a marker like this:
" (1) "
then just fire away with the explanation in the author's notes section. Mini chapters like this that introduce units, gameplay mechanics, and gamer jargon also helps a lot and you should do these when explaining stuff in the comments and on the A/N is not enough.
One more small thing, you do not need to tell your readers about each units tier/tech level. For people who play it that is already implied, while people who don't know what it means will just be confused. There will only be a few exception, mainly when mentioning/describing experimentals in dialogue or during narration. The mention of the tier 3 engineer that accompanied Blade is the only one worth mentioning.
Don't expect grammar and punctuation advise from me though, as I kinda suck at that myself.
Anyway I can't think what can constitute as a a formidable enemy in Equestria for an ACU with a working base let alone a fully upgraded one. But then again how he got there in the first place does give one a few guesses.
Im curious as to where you will take this story, so hope to see more of it!
Love to see what a dragon could do. Also, keep scale right. A tier 1 assault bot is the same size as a big tree.
PICTURES NOT MEANT TO SCALE THANK YOU.
clonezero i would be GLAD to send you a picture of a base in game one thing...to get it to the size it was based on my story and the game since i did base it off what happened to me would take like it did a lot of time will just a rather shorter version of what it was since i did not save further in game...one problem i lost the disk i will try to find it help people see Cybran base set ups for now wait.

I am already writing a chapter until notification disturbed me but to give you an idea to where he is as of now he is in a small gap between the everfree and a mountain side this chapter will have an "encounter" with a dragon along side a certain pony with a group of guards take a guess it will be worth it.
Ultra i will wait i got time.

You should be getting a PM momentarily with an updated chapter in it.
Note to all i am from Australia just to let you know.
Working on a big chapter HERE
guess how I deal with the nasty units you were talking about
KAMIKAZEEEEEE!
Yeah, ACUs are roughly the size of a Reaver-class titan from Warhammer 40,000.
Those little Tier 1 grunt soldier mechs? They're roughly the size of an Imperial Guard Sentinel. With auto-cannons for arms.
Is it similar to a locust?
Is that like the Cybrin spider unit from Supreme Commander II?
