I've switched from writing Chronicles to writing the rest of Ignis. Unlike Chronicles, I can see the end of Ignis coming easily enough, and I want to get it over with. Also, I don't want to edit 12K words of stuff. Simple as that.

This is the part where I rant and rave about how many other authors get much more attention than I do.

This is the part where I ask "Why don't I get that many views? Why do the other stories have that I don't? Why not me?"

And this is why I haven't been writing much for the past year.

So I'm well on the way to re-writing chapter 2, and because for a long time I considered chapter 2 to be my longest chapter as well as a huge turning point for my ability to write, I've had to make an extensive plan about what do fix and what not to fix. The original definitely has some kind of charm to it that probably is only there because I wrote it so long ago, but there are still elements that I want to keep in the re-write that are relevant in the old version.
