Yeah, this is going to be one of those posts, folks: one where I waffle about the future, particularly the future of me in the pony fandom.

While I've been having a lot of fun writing Consanguinity, and I certainly have other projects to work on (namely the not-very-well-received "Moon and Stars" story and the "Stars of Darkness" continuity) I'm quickly approaching a point at which I'm not sure that my time is being well spent in the MLP fandom.

The next chapter of Consanguinity is going very well, when I have the time and motivation to work on it. XD I'm still fighting to keep myself writing, particularly on specific tasks -- it's like my writing has some severe ADHD right now and wants to work on ANYTHING but Consanguinity... it's kind of a pain in the butt. XD

HOWEVER, I AM making progress and I'm hoping that next week will see a new chapter up!

The Christmas season was much tougher on me than I'd anticipated, and that translated into my writing grinding to a standstill. The scene with Celestia went on quite a bit longer than I thought it might (which is something that happens when I write stuff) so I thought it would be best to post it as a standalone chapter instead of waiting another day or two to post one enormous chapter with the next scene(s).

This is just a quick blog post to let you all know that I am, in fact, working on the next chapter of Consanguinity. Unfortunately, my sinus problems have returned with the change of the seasons, so I'm having to work on days when it doesn't feel like the front of my face is being squeezed towards the back of my head as well as pop Tylenol Severe Sinus as often as needed... which leads to me not getting a lot of writing done, at least not as fast as I was before.

"Consanguinity" has had the best reception of ANY of my stories, hands down. ESPECIALLY a brand-new story. I think the only one to even come close to this was "Where My Heart Lives", and that was at the very end!
