Thanksgiving, or "Why There's Not a New Chapter"

Well, friends and readers, it's that time of year again: that time of year where for two weeks I throw myself beneath the hooves of the consumer masses as they stampede to get the best deals on mediocre products. That's right -- it's Thanksgiving and Black Friday time!!

To keep a long story short, this past week and this week I've been working a crazy amount of hours more than I normally do, and that has led to me not having a new chapter ready for you. However, there IS some good news to be had: next week I return to my normal amount of hours, so my writing schedule should resume without a problem.

This does mean, unfortunately, that Consanguinity probably won't update until Monday the 28th at the earliest. I would love to guarantee that it will, but that kind of depends on how I exit this weekend and, since I don't have precognitive powers, I can't tell you that I'll be in any fit state to write come Sunday and Monday. I will say, however, that I have high hopes about being just fine, so here's hoping.

I also wanted to take this moment and say that I am so grateful and thankful to all of you for reading my stories. It's been a long haul since 2011, but I couldn't be happier that I stuck it out and continued to write. I'm better now that I ever was before, and to all of you who are reading Consanguinity -- as well as any of you who have read any of my previous work -- I thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and food, but not family as food.
