My recent silence is coming to an end. As some of you may know, I've been busy as hell lately, and it's been hard to find the time to write. When I have been able to write, the stress of recent events has made my work terrible. I think I'm finally past all that.

That interlude chapter I mentioned is out now. It took a while because I had to rewrite it three times due to a stupid mistake I made in the previous chapter. Basically, I left a small, but important scene out of it, and I had to make some adjustments to compensate for it. I rearranged the outline to fix the problem, so you guys shouldn't notice a difference.

The next full-length chapter is about 20% completed now and proceeding quickly, so I hope to release it within two weeks.

Earlier in the month, right after the new cover art was completed, I submitted There Goes the Neighborhood to EqD. About an hour ago, I got word that they've accepted it! It should be posted there before long.

The work is done on the new chapter. As expected, it's the longest one to date by several thousand words, but it shouldn't be particularly daunting at roughly 13k. Now it's off to the pre-readers and editor!

In case anyone has noticed the rather long delay between updates of There Goes the Neighborhood, there's a very good reason for it. The story has not been abandoned, or even put on hiatus.
