Peter Jackson’s extended edition of the final entry in his Middle Earth saga does a wonderful job at not only fixing many of the flaws that bogged down the theatrical cuts, but also serves as a fitting end to the saga.

Okay, I need to ramble a bit. Yesterday I was all nostalgic about Peter Madsen's works - more specifically his Danish comic series “Valhalla” that I grew up on. My Dad always been an enthusiast about our heritage as Danes, in particular the old stories and Myths about the old Nordic gods. And one faved medium to teach us these stories were through those comics, as the cartoonist behind them told the stories quite well, even with his own spin on them.

Scott Cooper's slow burn character study of infamous Boston mobster James "Whitey" Bulger is a showcase for a truly transformative performance by Johnny Depp, and while slow moving, is still an effective and engrossing portrait of Bulger.

I remember the first time I drank King Cobra malt liquor. I was somewhere off of fourteenth street when the idea of renting a movie or two and eating chili with some friends came to mind. These friends were the sort of friends who were into making their own wall paper out of the pictures in such classic periodicals as Juggs and Hustler.
