We return to Trailblazer’s adventures in Midgard for another round of excitement, adventure, and shameless flirtation. (Ah, the perils of crowdsourced characterization…)

Well. That happened. And I mean that in the best way. Part of why I wrote an Anon-a-Miss fic so long after the fact was because I wanted to get it out before canon did “Sunset’s friends turn on her” right. I didn’t know it would go this right. Let’s begin.
Welcome to the hiatus, folks, or as I like to think of it, the time when fan work gets a chance to breathe. Normally, I’d be cardifying the IDW comics to fill the time, but at the moment, I do still have a video backlog. Namely, the Equestria Girls Summertime Shorts.
This week, we return to the union of modern ponies and 80’s villains. Well, the daughters of 80’s villains. Well, the minions of the daughters of 80’s villains.
… Let’s just get started before I take this any further.
The centennial issue marks the penultimate entry for the IDW main line. Issue #102, coming out next month, will close out Season 10 and the line as a whole. For now, let’s see how the end begins.
This is certainly an interesting recipe, but before I start sampling it, I should note that you can help determine the subject of next week’s card blog by voting here. Now, where’d I put that spoon…
This week, we return to Hoofington for more of the adventures of Trailblazer. Last time, she met and—through audience participation—wooed a wide-eyed bat pony who’s just as eager to explore the world. Let’s see where her road takes us next.
This week, we return to the Berrow catalogue and Dash’s turn in the spotlight. She’s been comparatively patient, but she also didn’t have a choice in the matter. Let’s see what this entails.
Amazingly enough, we’re in for two weeks of new material. It’s like they actually rebooted the franchise or something.
Just in time for the Amonkhet prerelease, we have a different sort of God-Pharaoh. Not as many horns and slightly smaller wings, but she inspires just as much fear and reverence in her subjects. Let's see what trials Twilight goes through in order to survive this hour of devastation.
We return to one of the more unusual pony comic sidelines, the miniseries adapting Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women using the G4 cast. Clearly the most appropriate content I could cover on Super Bowl Sunday. Let’s see where this goes from here:
A bit ironic that they seemed to forget to advertise this special rather than the one involving memory magic. Still, it’s here and we can take a look at something I don’t believe we’ve ever seen before: A story set in the human world that’s longer than a few minutes and doesn’t focus on Sunset or a Twilight.
This week, we continue our journey through Minty Root’s backlog with two different takes on my favorite ponies. Remember, I’ve never claimed to be free of bias.
Well, I can definitely say that I wasn't expecting a Discord episode to be like this. Though given that this was written by the guy who did "Princess Spike," maybe I should have.
This week, we return to Trailblazer’s adventures, and this leg of the journey of the saga has so much going on, I’m taking it in halves.
Strictly speaking, the Daring Do trilogy came out before this, but I’d like to close out the Mane Six’s novels before moving on to Yearling’s semi-defictionalized adventures. So, let’s see how Fluttershy rounds out this part of the Berrow canon.
You ever notice how many flowers factor into the plot of FiM episodes? Poison joke, swampfever flowers, the wishblossom…
What I’m saying is that this episode’s MacGuffin, much like its main foci, has a long and storied pedigree.
Ah, Dia de los Muertos. When better to remember bygone plotlines, or ponder questions of the soul? (Of course, this would’ve gone up earlier, but I spent much of Monday flying back home from Magic 30. I was too busy with card games for my card blog. )
This week, we have the long awaited return of a beloved character who hasn’t been seen in far too long. It’s been a long and terrible drought without her, spanning all of five episodes, but Derpy’s back!
Oh, and Trixie showed up too, I guess. Given how she’s showed up in Seasons 1, 3, and 6, I can conclude that we’ll next see her in Season 10.
