So I figured it would be fun to show off unfinished works. These are stories which I have no clue if they will ever make it to Fim or not, but I'm sick of them just rotting for no one to read!

The Tale of Jumpy

Another week, another set of chapters from a unpublished story. Hopefully some people are reading these, but at least they will exist, on the web, in some public form.
A Pegacorn
Summary: A human girl wakes up to find that she's been transformed into a unicorn- no, wait, a pegasus- Pegacorn?
So, I went through my old files and realized that at some point I started writing an epilogue for "The Measure of a Dragon." Sad to say, I can't for the life of me remember what I was going to write. Okay, that's a lie. I think I was going to imply Silver Stone's parents were not so dead, but I'm not sure where or how to continue this. I don't think I have it in me to finish it or make a sequel. I just want to explore other stories (Plus a lot of recent MLP episodes upset this story's cannon).
What do aliens look like? Considering the extreme diversity of life just here on Earth, there are countless possibilities. Would anything from another planet resemble any of the groups we have here, like reptiles, insects, or even plants? Arising from entirely different conditions, and perhaps not even using the same cocktail of organic chemicals as their basis, true aliens could be truly alien, challenging our very concept of what life needs to survive, or even what qualifies as this
Throughout the previous installments, “as in SGA” has been a running gag that’s getting old, and after laying down the background lore, we’ve finally begun to move beyond it. Pardon for a time, however, the switch to “as in SG-1” instead. Welcome, friends, to Episode 3 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
Stargate Atlantis would end its 5-season run with a rushed one-part finale vaguely set up by the prior episode, the majority of which had happened out of main continuity by being set in a parallel universe. Hooray for me accidentally doing almost the exact same thing. Welcome, friends, to Episode 26, the finale, of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
I feel like now is the time to explain the “progression” I’ve hinted at before. It started with the initial Wraith attack, breaking the peace and security of Equestria, with Atlantis providing the promise of a happy ending. Our heroes poke around in episode 2, finding the ruins of a Wraith rampage, a grim preview of their own future. Episode 3 has them stepping up to help, but failing terribly, a harsh reality check and a shaking of their confidence. Then episode 4 shows them, as stated
And now we’ve reached the halfway point of the story, complete with the biggest all-out battle thus far. This massive event was positioned to act as a mid-season finale if need be, giving me a chance to take some time off and work on other stories before returning to tell the rest of the adventure. Lotta good that turned out. Also, this title references “Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams”. Not relevant, I just wanted to tell you that. Welcome, friends, to Episode 13 of “A Different Kind of
So I know how it looks. I had the Wraith wipe out G3 Ponyville sans one right at the beginning and then immediately after I had the G3 Breezies wipe themselves out sans one. I don’t hate G3, I swear! The idea to include past Gen world chunks in this story came early on but after the full setup was otherwise established, and admittedly these were the first two worlds I planned stories for. I can’t remember if I meant for them to both be this early, but they were needed to more firmly
Funny story, this episode used to have the far-inferior name of “Rise and Seek”, referencing the SGA episodes “Rising” and “Hide and Seek”, as this installment is based on a combination of the two. Because that’s a terrible name, however, it was eventually changed to reference the unrelated SGA episode “Grace Under Pressure”. Just thought you should know. Welcome, friends, to Episode 2 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
Upon examination of the topics of each episode, I’ve come to realize that the first half of the story has more dealings with past-Gen worlds than the upcoming second half, from almost all to almost none. Guess I wanted more Stargate in my Stargate story. For the time being, however, we’re still riding the past-Gen wave. Welcome, friends, to Episode 14 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
If the title didn’t give it away, this is the first majorly hyped event in the story, the episode where the first big arc gets resolved as we finally adapt the rest of part 2 of SGA’s premiere. As it stands, unfortunately, it’s also the longest drafted chapter for the rest of the story, including the actual finale. I told you this thing wasn’t finished. Welcome, friends, to Episode 6 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
You may have noticed that despite the major event this story started with, not many characters have acted too shaken up about it more than once or twice. That’s largely down to these early episodes being the first ones I envisioned, and not at a time when I was fleshing them out in that way, and by the time more in-depth ideas came along later, the events of the shallow parts were firmly entrenched into the story canon the better stuff was built on, and I just never got around to expanding
One way many stories build characters up is by first beating them down. While thinking about this story one day, I realized or decided I hadn’t done that enough yet, so I made this episode to make up for that. Welcome, friends, to Episode 15 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
Objection! Your Honor, this episode was clearly just written to be a Phoenix Wright reference! (desk slam) I demand that this case be dismissed! (finger point) Author, what have you to say for yourself!? (blurred camera scroll) “Um…I liked Turnabout Storm?” Welcome, friends, to Episode 20 of “A Different Kind of Pegasus Device”.
In our next installment we have a little story that was meant to sort of mirror A Dragon's Wake. I, unfortunately, did not finish it, but here it is anyway!
Gemma's Wake
Summary: A human girl wakes up in Equestria as a little dragon. She soon hitches a ride with local pirates, sailing the crazy seas of Equestria. What hi-jinks will she get into? And what's with this Daring Do pony! She's annoying! No one talks that way to Gemma Dragon!
Hey folks,
I probably should've published this yesterday, but I've been back in the States visiting family and was out of town most of the day. So my 2017 retrospective comes out in 2018 instead.
2017 had an odd feel for me, in that I felt like I managed a lot of writing, but at the same time did very little publishing. In fact, my story feed bears this out: I only published three stories in all of 2017.
Right, it's been one week since I've published something that has yet to be pubished! =
