For the past couple months, real life hasn’t been very conducive to writing, or de-stressing at all, really. Just as the pressure started to ease up, the real sucker punch came: my principal beta reader and idea sounding board extraordinaire is leaving the fandom. I was about to publish it when I remembered that there seems to be a huge difference in the popularity of chapters I put out depending on the time of day. The optimal time seems to be about 8:00 a.m. PST. Right now is close to the least optimal time. I know I said it would take me an extra week at most to get it out, but I forgot about this until it was too late, and I'd really, really prefer to stick with what I know works here. Apologies to all my readers for the slow updates. I've been going through a lot mainly family drama which I will not go into detail. I'm not really feeling the spark of creativity much lately. The most work I can get done on Imprisonment of a Changeling and Days of Nightmare Moon is just bits and pieces. I have a new chapter for Days of Nightmare Moon I'm just waiting on my poofreader. I'll be updating when I can but I don't know when that will be.

Just keeping you in the loop. The weekly chapter story I have planned for the holiday season will be delayed one week from what I initially scheduled. Thus, the first chapter will release on the weekend of November the 18th (meaning either the 18th or the 19th - I will post again near that time once I'm sure). This is due in part to my need to get caught up on some projects, and in part to working out a deadline that's suitable for the cover artist (custom cover art - yay)!

Between the holidays and his family visits, my work and my own family visits coming up, combined with our struggle to write in general, I will say that it's probably going to be another month before I at least can get a chapter out.

Another relatively low-productivity day for me. 563 words written for Sunset puts the chapter at 3,241 in total, and I've just hit an interesting point that may very well be the midpoint of the chapter. Nothing else to say right now, I'm pretty tired. I hope you're all doing well!

Welp, didn't end up being nearly as productive today as I wanted - only wrote 696 words. I advanced the chapter, at least, and I also figured out exactly what the next chapter is gonna have to entail, so it's not all bad. The chapter now sits at 5,648 words, still on the cusp of completion.
