She could still do that even with a job

Not the most harrowing argument in favor of her arc going further to get something she doesn't want or need.

The more of them get their grand accomplishments, the more samey they appear.

Not quite sure what you mean by this, to be honest. :rainbowhuh:

The Mane Six are all different. Removing something of their differences by, say, making them all alicorns, would homogenise them. They would appear to be more samey. Likewise, giving them all major lifetime accomplishments would do the same.

Another episode idea, by the way: more Cutie Mark Crusader material... but without their sister figures or their fellow crusaders. Give each of them solo missions, be it cutie mark work or regular slice of life stuff. Have them deal with how they are defined by the ponies around them. Sweetie Belle especially, I think.

6694608 But she doesn't get paid for her services, at least as far as we know. To her, she wouldn't accept payment; the satisfaction and happiness of her customers is enough payment for her.

6694652 Exactly! This is why she hated working on the rock farm as a child, and it's why she makes sure that the Cake twins have as much fun in their childhood as possible.

Yes, agreed! All of the Crusaders need rhier own episodes, wspecially Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. You'd think that Apple Bloom was the favorite of the writers since she's had more episodes than both of her friends combined. For Sweetie Belle and Rarity, it could be an episode involving weight. Sweetie Belle, true to her name, could start consuming one too many sweets and gaining weight due to her appetite getting the best of her. Rarity, being the pony that she is, could oppose this and put Sweetie on a diet, as well as a strict exercise regime, as a means of helping her sister lose weight, as she dreads about what others may think and the health risks involved. The others don't take too kindly to this, as they feel like Rarity is forcing Sweetie to change due to her own perceived notions of beauty. Rarity eventually learns the lesson that true beauty is on the inside and that you should love your loved ones no matter what. She also sees Sweetie's weight gain as an opportunity to fashion clothes for plus-sized ponies, using Sweetie as her model.

For Scootaloo, it could be her getting flying lessons from Fluttershy. Eventually, Rainbow Dash gets involved, pushing Scootaloo harder and harder, creating conflict between her and Fluttershy, leading to an argument between the two of them until Scootaloo snaps at both of them, telling them that she's never going to be able to fly and to just forget about it. Both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy learn a lesson; Dash learns not to push students too hard, to let them learn at their own pace and Fluttershy learns that sometimes a little pushing can be helpful.

That one actually completely slipped my mind. Heck, I should have remembered it if only for the obvious metaphor a rock farm seems to be (working for the sake of working).
