Summary: Canterlot Castle lay in ruins, though, it is no serious invasion or so going on. What had happened however, is explained through the story along with a very close look on the guards in the Castle who should have prevented the castle from being destroyed at all. And while the story reveals how it happened, it presents a humourous point of view of how the guards act acording to the show and the behaviour of Celestia, Luna and Twilight in mattter of national security.

Well, this story cares for a lot of cliche about the royal sisters, the guards, and how Twilight gets summoned by Celestia. Be it that Celestia is addicted to cake or that whenever a problem occurs she write to Twilight. As an mlp fan you get most of the refrences instandly and it is the cliches that form the foundation for this story. It is a typical comedy story which aims more for the slapstick than the big jokes, and this is fine since it works out mostly. While the big laughter was a bit missing and even the giggles could be a bit more you get form the story, you will find yourself smiling and nodding along the read every now and then due to how true the story could be given how Equestrias royal guards act in the show. At leat in early seasons.

Comedy: 5/10 Good concept, could be a bit more intense though.
Slice of Life: 8/10 A good portion of an inside look on how the guard works and what the royal sisters do about it.
Idea: 6.5/10 Well the main idea is just going with the cliches, but, it is fluffed up with an nice side character and a possible explanation for all of it.
Writing style & pacing: 7/10 The tempo is good and the way of writing alright.
