...the incomplete html copy.

Yes, the legendary story that started it all, once lost to time, now available for you to read. It's not all of the chapters that were released before it had been taken offline, but from what I recall it's most of them. Link below.

Praise the sun.

I don't know why, but I was looking for this, so thanks.

mabey this will get the author back, all we can do is hope.

Author left for good, I was there. He posted a farewell blog that was filled with about 50 or so pictures of pony porn and then he deleted his account, either that or fim permabanned him.

Damm, what a way to go...

6375900

As fascinating as that sounds, either there is a really good clone on here, or that author's still got his account.

That guy deleted his version.

6375877>>6375922
Mabey he remade his account? https://www.fimfiction.net/user/6987/Jimmy+the+Grape/blog does have a blog post claiming that he was an asshole and that he's back.
EDIT: nevermind he still has the followers from before so maybe he was just temp band and plead to be let back in.

Oh no the serial downvoter is back, hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband because there downvoting everybody out here.

Odd, whenever I tried to find him on here it said there was no one of that user name. Of course that was a good... 4, 5 months ago...

Who the fuck cares, it's just anonymous downvotes that clearly have nothing to do with anything you actually said. Ignore it like the random internet noise that it is.

Except this disliker has given a few likes before, especially in the Rise Of The Guardian thread.

Yeah, but I still don't know who is doing it, so fuck the anonymous non-person. If you don't have the balls to bitch at me personally, your opinion counts for jack.

Chill, I ain't here to go to war with you.

6376148
I don't know how that changes anything and how do you know that was him? also, he disliked your comment defending him so there's that.

Sorry, that's another German To English translation issue. "You" in this case meant the mysterious downvoter. You have no equivalent word in English for the "general you" that I meant. No offense intended.

I hope no one minds too much, because I do that a lot without meaning to. It is a bit bothersome and limits my ability to express myself in the way I am used to.

I don't know. For all we know, it might be a troll giggling behind his monitor at how random he is with his likes and dislikes.

6376156
Your avatar isn't helping either, lol.

wlam #19 · Mar 28th, 2018 · · 1 ·

6376189
You're not the first to make that assumption and I don't blame you. I like to think of it as someone really enjoying his work, but to completely fair, I don't even know where I got that from. I grabbed it randomly from Steam because I thought it would look funny on a site dedicated to happy cartoon ponies.

Hey, if it works, it works. Mine is rather plain looking but it matches my user name.

At this point, it's really more of a trademark than anything I care about. You'd probably be surprised at the amounts of editing requests I get both in and outside of the Displaced community. I've been present enough on this site that I want people to be able to connect what I say NOW to what I said four years ago.

6376218
I don't think everyone will connect if they weren't members of this group four years ago that knew what you said so long ago.

6376222
:rainbowlaugh: As I said, you'd be surprised. I do, in fact, very regularly get PMs about stuff I don't even remember saying. I'm not really a prominent member of Displaced to begin with, since most of my opinion boils down to the ways most Displaced authors fail to tell a good story. The people whose attention I get tend to be the ones more interested in formal and harsh criticism.

6376227
Harsh criticism is good though, especially those who didn't listen to advice the first time.

I appreciate your open-mindedness in this. I certainly agree and it speaks well of you that you do also, but the average writer on this site certainly doesn't. I've got a rather hilarious reputation as a boogeyman that even takes me by surprise sometimes when it pops up in unexpected places.

6376251
Lol, at least you're not a certain Hamster.

6376253
No idea who that would even be, but it sounds funny. I guess the distinction is that I never had anything against Displaced on a personal level, I just didn't speak highly of it when anyone asked me in HIE.

Hey, love it or hate it, it can't please everyone. It all boils down to opinions that needs to be respected, not unless its general blind hatred where the person goes to every single Displaced story, then leaves a nasty/negative/harsh/sarcastic response regardless of the story's current like/dislike ratio.

6376261
Oh, absolutely. Diplaced just evokes a stronger reaction because it has a much more pronounced good to bad ratio, like on the 1:100 level. I try to be constructive whenever I complain, so I guess that makes the difference in regards to why I'm not simply hated here, rather than treated as someone with very harsh but reasonable expectations. I take a certain degree of pride in that, because a number of Displaced stories actually were able to live up to my standards there and it does nothing if not prove that the genre can be good if it just tries.

6376267
Hey, someone has to be the backbone considering that too many Displaced tend to use cliches instead of being creative with their beginnings, or worse said-Displaced gets used to things too quickly with zero character development or become overpowered within seconds.

6376279
I feel much the same way, which is why I've never felt any guilt about being the voice of Having Standards even in regard to Fimfic in general.

6376283
At least the Displaced isn't as bad as the Fire Emblem Awakening self-insert stories on Fanfiction.net. Alot of them tend to focus on the cliche of 'follow the game script and do minor changes' route.

6376294
I haven't read any of those, but going by the analogy there, I also very much think I never will. Thanks for the warning.

DisplacedWriter
Group Contributor

6376300
Lol. Yea, you'll find those from mostly writers who are new to writing, however there are some creative stories that didn't involve the beginning and decided to go on it's own path, you just gotta dig through all the bad ones to find the good ones.

6375779
Thanks for the share! I've been searching for it since... ever!:pinkiehappy:

6376218
I defiantly saw your avatar and thought “o yah I’ve seen this guy around”

6376338
And that's the power of the trademark, bitches. I'm disliked just enough that no one would think of imitating it, and you can bet your bollocks I do my best to actively cultivate that.

6376345
and with that line alone you have truly earned that trademark/avatar.

6376357
I sure as fuck did and I even made a special Christmas edit of it once. Literally no one has disputed my claim of "this is mine, you fucks" in all the years I have been here. It's one of the things that make me like this community.

I can't help but hear "Merry christmas ya filthy animal" coming from your avatar's mouth.

6376385
It's not that far from how you imagine it. If I ever manage to pick out the old photoshops again, I'll show you.
