Now, Button Mash really isn't entirely Jan's OC. Same with Button Mash's mother. From Guyra (Jan's moderator), quote to quote:

So there we go! Button Mash's mother was created by Jan's dear old pretty friend! Either the friend is pretty and an old friend. Or is pretty old as in the age. I'll stop there and continue onto her cutie mark.

Button's mom cutie mark is pretty simple with meaning. I mean, all cutie marks have a meaning behind them.

The bottle is on the left here. The heart on the right.

With the heart on the right and the baby bottle on the left, the cutie mark says, quoted from Guyra:

Tender love and care; not the kind of rough love where someone gets turned on by getting the shit beat out of them. No, Button's mother is a warm hearted loving mother. Mostly towards little children though. Older stallions/mares? I don't think so.

This happened since on the opposite of the flank, the cutie mark is reversed. For Button's mother, the heart is always faced towards her sexy ass. We all it.

And in my opinion, Jan is a fantastic and awesome animator.

If I had more time and all, I would research on him. (Heh. Research.) But since this is all about Button Mash's mom, let's start on Button first!

Button Mash first appears in Hearts and Hooves Day, Season 2, Episode 17 as a background pony. He had no name. Jan seemed to love the little guy and the idea of Button's Adventure was created. Thus, Button Mash was born as Jan's OC. Before Jan started to use Button Mash, the young colt appeared for a few seconds in the episode.
