Maybe it's a pre-emptive block. He saw a comment you made, or passed by your page and didn't like something there so he blocked you. Or maybe he's just being an asshole for the sake of it.
If you try to add a comment and you get a message saying you can't do that it's because you're blocked. If you try to send a PM and it looks like it went but you can't find it in your sent folder then you're blocked.
