On November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the recruitment and formation of two battalions of Marines, for fighting against the British. Captain Samuel Nicholas recruited these brave men from Tunn Tavern, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

And with that, the Marine Corps was born, and has served with Honor and distinction ever since.

I joined the Marine Corps and left for boot camp on July 1, 1991. I served four years, and left active duty as a Corporal. I have no regrets, having served with pride.

To all my fellow Jarheads out there, Happy Birthday, my Brothers and Sisters-in-Arms. We are the Few. We are the Proud.

We are MARINES!

Rah, baby.

Yut, Happy Birthday

Semper Fidelis, brave heroes!

The last ball I went to, the sergeant sitting across from me got so drunk before the ceremonies started that she was puking into her cover by the time they were done but before they served our food. It didn't bother me much, because the food was just as tasteless as usual :moustache: Besides, most of our attention was directed at the officers' table because we were busy playing 'spot the escort'.

OOOOH RAAAAH!
Happy birthday to all the USMC bronies

Happy birthday, USMC!

Happy B-Day Marine Crops! :trollestia:
