Well her Grandma really blew it this time and it almost got her killed, she really should have intervened earlier and it wouldn't have happened. Anyways good one again
Oh cool, there goes a bit more info on the little one's visual appearance. Useful.
I guess the point of Stallion Rubber is that she's intentionally callous and hardened for the sake of survivability and she is triyng to raise her family to be likewise. ...Or she revels in the thought of trying to be a Hardcore lvl 64 Borderlands Baddass. Dunno.
And then the plot progresses! (I'm now imagining narratives that get cutie marks due to order of events or something) massive huge well-fed rounded plots and young firm still-developing plots and then some plots that go nowhere at all. The variety of the FoE sidefic space!
Obviously not her first time looting, but I suppose that should be kinda obvious what with the searching for a trophy thing. Possibly in-home training put to use.
I'm gonna make the guess that her mechanics score might skyrocket and put Peanutbutter Crunch to shame within a short amount of time.
Or that her first thought about what it could be useful for involved tearing it to pieces and using specific salvaged bits for something entirely unrelated.
Or that her LCK compensates for inexperience.
Or that she wanted it because that was actually what she needed.
Or the she likes loud noises... Which, come to think, would be backed up by:
Prolonged exposure to loud noises does cause hearing damage and whatnot.
Either way, I had that thought that "Oh, this is gonna be like in an anime where the thing she didn't get to start with ends up being something she gets later anyway and uses in a specifically plot-relevant fashion." Or. Something.
...
At this point, I'm actively fishing around for things to comment on, as the particular points of interest, I've already mentioned to some degree or another.
This actually brought to mind an N64 game I remember liking called Operation Winback.
DED. She's totally unknowing a part digital-entity, part cyborg, part tartarus pact being brought back from the Everafter so she can SAVE [strike]THE WASTELAND[/strike] the silly Claptrap buck! But then she gets there and he's part spell-matrix! AND THEN THEY INTEGRATE INTO A SUPER COMPUTER BODY-CHANGING TRANSFORMER BOUNTY HUNTING ROBOT SOUL-SHARER PONY.
aaaaaand I'm out of ideas now. And a little dizzy. Maybe eating exclusvely nuts for a few days was not best idea.
Small nitpick type edity stuffs. So I might delete this comment afterwords if you want? Or something.
I think there's a missing particle "I" between "know" and "can".
Then -> Than.
Also, I have to wonder if her way of speaking relative to the speaking mannerisms of the show's Diamond Dogs is indicative of the time gap, a regional difference, or more to do with her specific upbringing.

Fixed the errors, thanks for pointing them out! But as per the way she speaks, she's quite smart for her age, and has spent a lot of her time shunned away from the others in her pack, so she developed differently. Mostly though, it was the fact that in things like the main story of Fallout Equestria and Project Horizons, some of them can talk in a normal fashion. This was why I figured it would be alright for her to speak normally.

I have no idea who this Peanutbutter Crunch you speak of is, but that would be an awesome name for a Steel Ranger! On why she wants the gun, is that she knows the big dogs have them, and that guns are useful in defending the pack. A gun is infinitely more important in the wasteland than a magical ring, and with her pack being stuck in the mines, there isn't exactly a fresh supply of them coming in.
On Operation Winback, Bad Pun and I used to play that game all the freakin time! It's been forever since I even remembered it existed though. Ah, nostalgia is fantastic.
3861139 I should probably use their actual names. XD
P Crunch -> P. Cap
S Rubber -> Storm... Rider? I forget.

Still, Peanutbutter Crunch is a really good Steel Ranger name that I might steal for later use! and yes, it's Storm Rider.
