October Update · 4:49am Oct 27th, 2022
Hello again, everyone. I hope that life is treating you all well.
October's been a rather mixed bag of a month for me in some ways. Which is a shame, because I'd planned at first to try and dive back into writing this month, as Halloween came ever closer.
Real life stuff just really got in the way this time around. First off there was the whole kerfuffle with my laptop needing surgery - issues with the hard drive and the whole computer freezing up prior to me sending it in made me *very* leery of trying to do any writing on it. Which was a shame, as I had had plans to really dive back in on story stuff for this month.
Then, after getting my device back on the 11th, another bombshell dropped a week after.
Since the start of last week, perhaps even before that... my father's been ill. He has cellulitis. For anyone not in the know, this is an infection where the skin becomes red and inflamed, and the afflicted area swells very painfully. As my dad's infection is in one of his feet, this has made life very painful and difficult for him. Thankfully, a very trusted doctor - who's been a complete godsend through this ordeal - has Dad on antibiotics, which have done wonders for him. That being said, he's not out of the woods yet, and a LOT of my time these past several days has gone by and large to assisting my parents and helping them out however I can. It's work that eats up a big chunk of my day, and while I have no complaints about doing whatever I can for my parents, it's also work that does take a lot out of me. Most of my free time has been about gaming, or even just sitting, rather than anything more like writing.
I've sat on this information for a while. I didn't know at the time my dad started showing symptoms, what exactly was going on there. It's been rough, but now that he's being treated, and showing real signs of recovering, I can breathe a lot easier, and I finally felt comfortable enough to let more people know what's been going on as of late.
So, I guess by way of finishing this up... you all stay safe out there. And take care of your health, for goodness' sake. Be safe and have a Happy Halloween this October!
*snuzzles and hugs* Hope your dad gets better soon! ^^
And stay safe buddy.
Here's to your Dad's recovery.

Stay safe over there as well. :)
Terribly sorry about your father, I pray that he makes a full recovery!
Sorry about your troubles. Glad that things might be looking up, though.
