To make a long story short, the new Midnight Rising chapter is draft complete, more Feathered Hearts M-rated chapter updates are on the way, I’m restarting work on Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night, and I’m already looking ahead to the next new chapter release of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles sometime in November, followed by one of Feathered Hearts - Eros late in the month.
But before I get into all that...
I’d like to note that the release of the M-rated prologue version of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles (C&C for short) went very well, garnering a slew of new likes and favorable comments.
So I’d like to offer a warm welcome to all incoming readers, and if those of you new to the story are wondering why you don’t see much adult action in the story after the initial chapter, it’s because the story was only bumped from T-rated to M-rated with the release of chapter 29 eight days ago.
New C&C R-rated and M-rated chapter updates
Those not already aware can look up my for reasons for boosting Continuation and Chronicles from T-rated to M-rated here, but the upshot is that I’m now going through the story to update earlier chapters to have additional R-rated and M-rated content. I have no less than four such chapter updates in progress (chapters 11-14), which existing readers may recall is the leadup to Marco’s first time with Gilda and its aftermath.
I won’t always release a brand new chapter if I don’t think enough of the old one is changing or is otherwise only getting an R-rating, but major additions of M-rated content will generally always warrant a new version (don’t worry, I’ll make links to the old version of the story available for those who prefer it). So what I will probably do is only update the existing chapters 11-13 while the climactic and heavily upgraded chapter 14 will get a new release. Then I’ll post them all at once when they’re ready so the chapter 14 update release shows up in your feeds.

And that brings me to Midnight Rising. I completed the latest chapter draft last night and ended up adding another 1300 words to it this morning during its full editing pass. It’s now 13.6k words of wild and crazy clop, and for those who don’t follow the story, the latest released chapter and the next two to come feature the griffons under the very M-rated thrall of Midnight Sparkle.
I immensely enjoyed writing it, given how many *ahem* breaks I had to take during its creation, including no less than three yesterday. So fans of Feathered Hearts - Eros are invited again to check it out.

PS: I’m sorry if people find these plugs for my other stories in blog posts obnoxious. But experience has taught me that it pays to advertise, and I do make most of my stories at least loosely connected to each other, even if they aren’t in the same verses. If you like one, I think you’re likely to like the other, and I’m always trying to scare up new readers. Especially this close to Halloween! 🎃
Resuming work on Unleash the Magic - Nightmare Night
Speaking of which, my one unmet promise for this month so far is a Halloween update to Nightmare Night, a sequel to Midnight Rising. Where the former takes place on Earth during the Friendship Games and involves the Equestria Girls and Midnight Sparkle, the latter takes place the following Halloween in Ponyville on the Equestrian side of things. The events of the first story do play heavily into the second, and in fact, that’s what my most recent griffon chapter additions to Midnight Rising are for—to set something up for the finale.
I’m not honestly certain I can finish it in the 8 days before Halloween, but I’ll give it a try. I find what I want to work on most right now are the C&C updates, however, so... well, we’ll see.
As for Continuation and Chronicles...
I think folks will understand that I would much rather finish the M-rated updates to existing chapters before starting a brand new one, so I have a fully updated story to work from. There will be no M-rated action this time as the battle for the abandoned hive begins in earnest, and don’t expect the Cloven are going to make it easy for them.
I’m not entirely certain that I can finish the battle in a single chapter, but once again, we’ll see. I guess I could make it double-length since it is a climactic battle, but that would delay the release. Only way to find out will be to start writing it, and regardless of the status of the other stories, I may work on it in bits and pieces whenever I need a break from clop.
And finally, Feathered Hearts - Eros...
I promised earlier that there would be another chapter of Eros before year’s end, and I’ll bump that to say that I’ll do my best to get one out by the end of November. Just because the main story is now M-rated doesn’t mean there’s no longer a need for the side story, as Eros will be used for lengthy M-rated action that can’t be included in the main story for completely disrupting the narrative flow. Basically, I’ll keep shorter sex scenes in the main story like this last chapter and in the prologue, but the bigger ones will require the side story.
Those of you who enjoyed the action at the end of chapter 29 will be happy to know that I’m going to flesh out that scene more fully in Eros eventually, including describing all four rounds of rutting that were mentioned after the fact. Why didn’t I include it there? For exactly the reasons I stated above—it doesn’t fit there because it would take too long, and I didn’t want to interrupt the battle for a chapter or more. That’s just way too much reader whiplash. The same will not be true for describing Marco and Gilda, however, since nothing else is going on at that point in the story except them.
That’s all I can think of right now. Bottom line is that there is plenty of hot M-rated action and epic battles ahead throughout my stories, and I hope you all come along for the ride. I find I’ve been enjoying my writing lately, and I sincerely hope it shows.
I’m tagging this blog with Continuation and Chronicles even though Midnight Rising should be released next, only because it got the most mention and reaches the widest audience. Remind me to rant later as to why we should be able to set multiple tagged stories on blog posts instead of just one.
I'm happy to see C&C get a little more of a M-Rated action, while also getting a new update of what happend in chapter 29 in more detail, makes me a happy Retard Doctor.
I would admit that I am kinda new to your stories & profile so Im not really sure what did you say & wrote earlier, but I do want to ask what will happen with Firefly & her story.
Sorry if this comes out of the blue, or its coming weird, but those stories were the ones that made me discover you & I really likes them.

And you’re very welcome in advance. Can’t say when I’ll get to fleshing out chapter 29, but I will get to it eventually.
Ah. Having stamped Into the Storm complete a few months back after six years and well over 400,000 words, I’m taking a break from it to focus on my other stories, trying to knock Midnight Rising and Nightmare Night out before I take on another major project. I do plan to pick up where Into the Storm left off in a new story eventually, but you’ll understand that I really need to finish some of my other stuff first.
If you’re missing her, she (sort of) does show up along with Gavian and others in Feathered Hearts (as I assume you saw from your reading), and she’ll also make a rather naughty appearance over in the coming chapter of Midnight Rising.

Nice! Was wondering what the plan was with C&C, whether or not you were going to update the chapters first and then the next new chapter, or other way around. Probably best like you said to update the older chapters first so its not something that's at the back of your mind while making the finale for this battle.

That’s part of it, definitely, but there’s also the fact that I’d like new readers coming in expecting an M-rated story to actually get an M-rated story in something other than the very first and very last chapters. I’m currently planning for at least 2-3 more existing chapters to be made M-rated and 4-5 others to be R-rated. The latter will likely include a lot of highly suggestive Gilda/Tara content.
