Story time! A long, long time ago when I first wrote Knight of Order, there were two artist I always wanted to commission to make some art for the story. I was 16 at the time with no disposable income. 10 years later they’re still doing wonderful Pokemon art, and although they are not actively taking commissions right now (which I’ll totally shoot my shot once they do), I was able to email them and ask for permission to use their existing work and got the ok.
So maybe you’ll start to see more illustrations in the future if only to color up the story a bit! A cheap gimmick I know, but I’d like to have an excuse to share their work with the rest of the world and the people that matter to me. In this case... you! The readers and my fellow peers. Oh gosh, I hope I’m not hyping up the story too hard. I don’t think I’m a very good writer, that’s totally why I want to make/incorporate art for it so I can make the reading experience better and more colorful

I wouldn’t trust those views! The story was written back in 2012 when the FIMFiction community was popping off and people were less critically minded about FIM fanfiction in general, and my story was pretty unique for its time (likely super played out now!). The original draft was a lot more... Hmm. Cringy and emotionally angsty? Haha. I practically rewrote everything from the third chapter onwards though. For the better or worse? Can’t be my own judge so who knows now.
If I had deleted the story and started anew instead of deleting the individual chapters itself to rewrite them, it’d probably have 20 likes, 3-5 dislikes and a couple of hundred views (Since I think over 5.5k views come from the past) if I’m not mathing it wrong. The story is a bit dated with its references, and even some of the more vital ones are now gibberish. Like the protagonist’s name for example.
It’s an old tale that should’ve been canceled but I refused and wanted to give it a proper end, so I continued it. I would say: Exercise caution and bring some salt with you to make it more palatable. (Like that saying, “take it with a grain of salt”.)
