Opaline is talking like she's hiding her Cutiemark somewhere and Misty even 'pretends' like she doesn't have a Cutiemark? This is all very confusing on the continuity.
Opaline says You can kiss getting a Cutiemark goodbye but she already has a Cutiemark on her own and can just escape from you?

She already got her Cutiemark here on her own without Opaline's help. Tell Your Tale just spoiled it all here making viewers like us, Well lets just say the fact about Misty discovering friendship and earning a Cutiemark from that doesn't feel rewarding anymore because we saw it. And no, Misty doesn't have to go through all of this. I think this is some kind of metaphor for an abusive relationship but the victim chooses to stay because insert generic reason here.
