Progress update

Hello everyone!

So, it's been a while, no new chapter for anything yet, but I have been writing. Some progress made on Darkness Falls, I'm mostly hemming and hawing about where is a good stopping point for this current chapter. Also still need to decide on a quote for the chapter. I have a few in mind, but they're kind of like "eh" choices, or "this quote would go better in a future chapter, I think". That kind of stuff...

BUT.

I have new stories that have grabbed my attention. Some ideas that I wanted to write and had to get them out or I'd never be able to focus on other stuff (namely Darkness Falls). Though, when it comes to Darkness Falls, I am trying so freaking hard not to write any more future chapters. That basically means I have ideas in the future that I sit down and type them up, but they're WAY into the story where other events happen, involving character and important locations that have not been mentioned/visited in the current timeline on FimFic which would not be happening for MANY chapters. Reason being is that while it's still "progress" and practicing my prose, etc, it also means that most of said chapters would need to be thrown out as I genuinely can't know precisely what will still be relevant on FimFic when I inevitably get there. And that's a lot of work for nothing, or a lot of avoidable editing.

Also things I've been hemming and hawing about posting. One of which is "A New Kind Of Game... 2"

I never really intended for the first "A New Kind Of Game..." to be a multi-chapter story, hence why there is only one chapter and is marked as completed, even though it hints at a lot more stuff going on. I meant to have separate sequel stories, individual submissions to FimFic. Mostly this was because there's quite bit more fetish stuff in the sequel, and I was squeamish about posting it. But I've decided "Ah what the hell... if people like it, they like it, or if they don't, then they don't and it's not a big deal." Well, not so much "decided" as I've finally let that tidbit of content-making wisdom start to sink in. I'm working on it...

Another story I plan to post is related to "A New Kind Of Game..." but it's about Rarity. And that's all I'll say for now.

Sadly, I don't think I'm going to have anything for "Love & Tolerance" any time soon. I just... don't know where to take the story still and I've had no inspiration for it. Unlike Darkness Falls, where I SO MANY IDEAS that are in the future, I basically only have an ending in mind for L&T. And I have no idea how I want to get there. It's not dead, just... hibernating.

I'm also thinking about, maybe, resurrecting an old story I wrote as a writing prompt. But I don't know, we'll see...

I'll end this blog with a word count on Fallout: Equestria, Darkness Falls. It's currently sitting at 7,670 words, 19 pages on my Google Doc. It's not enough to justify the length of time this is taking, but it's a lot more than the roughly 400~ words I left it at some time ago. So... hey, Progress not Perfection, right?
