Today is Shannon Chan-Kent's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Silver Spoon for the first five seasons of FiM, and served as Pinkie Pie's singing double throughout most of the show, there are only a few known instances where Andrea Libman sang in-character for Pinkie Pie in any official musical number. Interestingly, for reasons unknown, Shannon voiced Pinkie Pie in two season two episodes: "The Cutie Pox" and "Ponyville Confidential". To this day, no word exists on why. She later became the voice of Smolder the dragon for seasons eight and nine.
Shannon also apparently performed a number of demos for songs before they were re-recorded, though of the bunch the only one to be leaked was the alternative demo of "A Kirin's Tale".

The reason I ask is because I think Pinkie’s only line was a fit of crying, which was filled by someone other than her VA.
Anyway, huh, I didn’t know that Andrea Libman only spoke for Pinkie.

5688153 Yes, Pinkie had dialogue then besides just crying. Fluttershy was present in that episode but didn't speak (her crying was a recycled stock sound effect).
