C&C release finished, Harmonic Resonance release on Thursday night · 3:37pm Aug 24th, 2022
First and foremost, I’d like to offer a warm welcome to all new Feathered Hearts readers following the Sunday’s release, which featured for several hours and resulted in a slew of new likes and tracks.
I also picked up a dislike, but don’t worry—the Capricorn Conclave is tracking down the offender. 
In all seriousness, though I never like seeing downvotes, the ultimate objective of a release is to gain new readers, and thanks in large part to it featuring, this one did in spades. So I’m not going to sweat it.
My thanks goes as well to everyone who offered feedback. The chapter appeared to have been very popular with readers, which I find quite gratifying, especially given all the time I put into making the area maps. That motivates me to make more of them, so we’ll see about doing chapters with actual battle graphics later, the same as I’ve already done for Into the Storm: The Flight of Firefly. The only caveat there is, I’ll have to make new unit icons for the Marines, Auxiliary Guard, Kingdom Navy and Cloven. And possibly others later as well.
Writing the next part is already underway, and will incorporate a major chunk of the original Feathered Heart’s chapter 9, which the story will be catching up to at the end of with the next entry. In it, our heroes complete the escape to Aricia while picking up a few additional stragglers along the way. Expect some fanservice within it, and another of those twist endings I so seem to enjoy. Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad this time!
And speaking of twist endings, that brings me to Harmonic Resonance. 
The new entry is with prereaders now and I added another 1800 or so words to it after getting feedback from the commissioner. He offered his approval with a request for more emphasis on sensation, so that’s what I tried to give him. I’m going to release that chapter Thursday night, which should allow enough time to get final approval and for prereaders to finish their passes on it. Aside from all the M-rated action, expect a great deal of Midnight vs Twilight byplay and some surprising revelations about Twilight’s deeply buried desires, which can be fodder for bonus material or even another story later.
The next HR chapter after that—the third and final Twilight ascension chapter—is likewise well underway; I’ll try to have it done and off to prereaders within the next week. It will conclude the main story and leave only the epilogue chapter remaining, which will have a very strong Feathered Hearts reference. I’ll then stamp it complete, and my clopfic emphasis will at last return to the Unleash the Magic series. I intend to work on that heavily through September and October, interrupted only by the occasional Feathered Hearts entry.
