Pony Variant Births

So, before, I've talked about different Variants of the standard three tribes of ponykind. These being the Lunar Ponies, Crystal Ponies, Solar Ponies, Party Ponies, Sea Ponies, Wood Ponies, Snow Ponies, Geo Ponies, and Storm Ponies.

Due to circumstances for each Variant, some are rare compared to the others while others are doing well, and then there are the descendants of Pony Variants. These descendants aren't guaranteed to develop the powers and abilities of their Variant ancestors/relatives due to the bloodline thinning with each generation. For some descended from a Pony Variant, it takes the right circumstances and external and/or internal stimuli to awaken the bloodline within them and unlock their hidden powers.

Recently however, I realized that in some cases this could be overcome by something a tad more certain but still unlikely.

For example, a pony who is descended from the Lunar Ponies but is not a Lunar Pony him or herself, his or her foal could be more likely to develop lunar pony magic if the foal was born during a full moon.

A similar scenario could be if a pony, descended from a Storm Pony, had a foal during a storm the foal would be more likely to develop their storm pony magic. Or if a pony who is descended from a Party Pony had a foal during a merry festival/celebration/party, the foal would have a greater chance of awakening their party pony magic.

And so on.

This idea crossed my mind a while and it made sense to me, and gave merit to the idea of a descendant of a Pony Variant having increased chances of awakening their Variant magic.
