It happened. After two years of careful planning, vaccinations, and masking and distancing, guess what decided to strike my house like a ninja assassin in the dead of night? Yep, the rona. How did this happen? Let's explain. See, I have a great-aunt living with me, and her son, who is my cousin by default (I call him great-cousin, because technically, he's Dad's cousin, but let's not get stuck on semantics and genealogies here.) Son picks up a job at Amazon a few months back, and so far, all is more or less good. Then he gets sick, and stays home for two weeks, and nobody else is the wiser. That's how it happened, so I told work and am now quarantining for four more days until this blows over, and when I go back to work Thursday, I'm turning in the doc's note I made sure to pick up.
I also got sicker twice, from over-stimulation via coughing my lungs out because itchy throat, yay. Now I has cough syrup (in tutti-frutti! ech!) to knock me out. And yes, everyone else in the house has it too, so if we need anything, we'll instacart it here. While this means no writing while sick, it'll also give me time to clear my head regardless, so... yay. And my appetite's been poor since this whole thing started, with me taking in a lot more liquids than I normally would. First day sick, I drank... what, four glasses of grape juice, and the day after, four more of orange?
I swear on Faust and Godcat I would not recommend this kind of sickness to anybody. I am now in hikkokomori mode.
Very sorry to hear. Hope you'll be okay.
Try drinking something warm. Something like tea or soup. Might help.
Oh dear. Hope you get better
5663074 Fortunately, we instacarted more chicken soup here. I tried that two days in, when I was coughing something fierce. It was a much needed punch to my sinuses. And I also has more grape juice for vitamins, but that I like to keep cold.
5663075 Same here! Danke~
