She tried to save carder, and ends up directly killing him, and in the process, killing everyone else as well.
And I like that. I like how her theme of death being inevitable and being openly embracing of it backfired. Not because of a secret ploy, or some unexpected plot device, she was just... wrong. And everyone paid the price for it.
I think that's honestly what keeps the ending from being bad for me. I strongly dislike it overall still as the game's only ending, but between the excellent writing and the masterful subversion of tropes, You just... can't be upset at it." - from Ento: The Chesnaut Knight
