For those interested in checking it out, there is a song by Tool from their 2019 album Fear Innoculum called Tempest - Track Nine on the album (though it is spelled 7empest in the tune's name, it is Tempest in the lyrics).

I thought the closing lyrics to 7empest were profound, in terms of my protagonist for The Amulet of Shades, Tempest. The closing lyrics go thusly:

Control, your delusion
Insane and striking at random
Victim of your certainty
And therefore your doubt's not an option
