So by now, you've probably all been wondering what's going in on the crazy world that is this semi-enormous fic. You might already have all the answers I'm willing to give out so far, to be found in the comments of Act I, but at the wise urging of Keyesty, a summary blog post seemed a fitting place to put all the information; especially now that the story will soon be multiple acts.
Firstly, to address the immediate future: you can expect either 1 or 2 more 'epilogue' chapters for Honor Guard (the story that was formerly just Where Loyalties Lie). As i stated in the comments, the last of these chapters will contain a link to the new story, to be titled as follows.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand: some commonly asked questions I've seen, and my responses.
How long is the story going to be?
I have no idea. No, really. Though I do have a rough outline of extremely major events (there were 3 scenes off it in Act I), most of the actual intervening text is bassically appearing on the fly. So I can't give you words, or chapters, but I can do at least this much: depending on how things progress, there will be either 4 or 5 acts.
Wow, that's a lot! Are you sure you're going to finish the story?
No. I could die in a car crash, for example.
I hope you can forgive my cynicism there, but that's about the sort of thing that it will take to stop me. I love writing, and readers make it all the better. Further, there's nothing I detest so much as a good fic on indefinite hiatus. Believe me when I say that I will do everything in my power to get through this.
You said there was going to be romance...
...and I wasn't lying. For those of you who haven't read the very end of the comments for 'Honor Guard', I'll just note that I have promised it will show up in Act II.
So when is it finally coming out?

Okay, so nobody has actually said that; probably because it isn't very good at the moment. It's my art of the Commander, which you can find on my DeviantArt if you want to take a shot at coloring it (alongside much worse pictures of Soldier On and Dead Reckoning). I'm a little disappointed in how it turned out as an icon; especially after I bought a brand new pack of 12 colored pencils and everything! Oh well. Call it shameless self-promotion, I guess. I should probably stick to writing.
There is one other thing I thought I should mention, though. I have a short (by my standards) spin-off fic that I will be posting very soon, called From Stalliongrad With Love. It's definitely going to be more light-hearted than any act of Where Loyalties Lie, despite the fact that it basically follows Red Ink. For those of you who wanted to know what Celestia would do to punish him: expect good things.
