Are Twin Twilight stories cursed? · 10:00am Feb 13th, 2022
First off admit some lack of writing. my phone got damage and was waiting for the replacment.
but onto the subject. I have read at least three stories where Twilight gets a twin of sorts but all are not going well in my opinion. one is basically abandoned, another i had to drop because the author decided to go with incest with Twilight's Twin getting into a relationship with Twilight. and now the third you has the Twin committing mass murder so i don't see a real happy ending their. i might soon drop it and the sad thing is the last two were good till those points. so what is it with authors doing this. I get having a vision but some times that vision may not be a good one. I admit i was a bit scared for Born For Loyalty since i needed Discord to die.
I think many author's need to step back and think of if the path they want to go is really the best for the story.
for an example. the incest story. I read comments since they decided to continue the incest and it jsut seems a convulted mess now and i know that author is capable of good stories so i just don't get it.
Thoughts on this?

I mean all of those problems seem to just come from your personal preferences getting in the way.

Does a Story really need a happy Ending to be a good Story? I don't think so !
Ok the Auther just abandoning the Story...I got nothing for that....
Granted I have No Idea what Story's you are talking about so maybe they are just not well written or thought out, that could 100% be the case!
But that has nothing to do with the Storys containing Incest or a unhappy ending....
But hey those are just my thoughts , just thought I would share them.

Well this is fiction we are walking about. We do not read these stories to apply normal societal rules. If those kind of stories are not for you it’s a shame.
That does not mean you have to start shaming people who like to read naughty stories.

It's not just the Twin Twilight stories, but all "X Character gets/has a Twin" stories that seem to be cursed. Almost every one of them seems to die out before really going anywhere with rare exceptions, that being the few ones with a Luna/NMM character.
In sense Admiral it depends on the reader and their kinks for reading said stories on that type of subject. And while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it also depends on the flow of said stories if they inspire those who read it or if it is mostly a fluff piece.
Hiver's stories with the Alternate Dimension Twilight aka Midnight Sparkle is a decent attempt of a "twin" that hasn't been too bad.

I wrote one myself and the thing that killed it was that I never had a plan. When writing a story and you bring up questions, you might want to have the answers yourself.
If I ever wanna try writing again I'd probably need a plot outlined.

always good to have a rough idea where you are going for a story. characters, enemies, main plots points.
