The Najave is so hot, it makes you wish for a Megaspell Winter. (Lets talk NCR) · 3:38pm Feb 4th, 2022

Fist off, check out the new chapter of "A Wastelander Tale" chapter 6 is up, and it both cameos a familiar character, and introduces a new and fun one.

So, the New Canterlot Republic. Bearing the two headed Ursa, they become the force to reunify Equestra with the ideals of the old world in their heart. Will they be the ones to do it? It is a good first step on the road to recovery, but without a magical miguffing to make everything good again, it's a long road.

That all said, I have it planned to do at least three more of the weapons art, along with lore I come up for it. the NCR Heavy Trooper, and the NCR Ranger. so ya, more Fallout New Vegas pony guns coming soon. But right now I rather mull over a few other ideas in my head, as well as the future of the NCR.

Starting with a big unknown question, why would this NCR have the same two headed bear flag as the human NCR. Why not a Bailfire Phoenix. Thinking about that, and maybe a bit of wanting to stick to the original idea from the games, it dose make some sense. So why not Pyerlight, such a lovely bird, but also highly radioactive, and a symbol of the wasteland. What about the princesses? A good idea, but also trying too hard to go back to how things were, but this time with dead gods... not something that would instill the right idea in ponies. So then they a two headed Ursa, like, it makes no sense.

My answer, it was a compromise between a Brahmin and a Yao Guai, ya, that's what I'm going with. Both would have been respected animals for their power, but the both were also extremally sickly looking. what didn't look sickly, and was already part of the Lightbringer's legend, the Ursa Major, of which the Hero Steel Hooves manage to slay. So down the line the two headed ursa would have been adopted, satisfying all parties enough that they would stop bickering. though I imagine it would still confuse a lot of creatures in the wasteland, as well as inspire them to join.

Onto where the NCR would eventually go, in this I hinted at this in "Desperados" with the oncoming drought and annexation of New Appaloosa. With the Mandate of the reunification Equestrian, they would be an benevolent expansionist empire, that would quickly take over much of the east cost and move west. Helping this is Velvet Remedies forethought on preparing for the drought, and setting up both water stations and water caravans. From there the NCR would make a water standard for their NCR Bills, stabilizing their economy. Many settlements in need of this water would then join the NCR, further expanding it's territory.

In all likelihood, under President Deadshot Calamity, the NCR would thrive much as the human NCR did under Tandi, in which Calamity would be President until his death of old age. Though I imagine that the expansionist policies started under Gwadian would give way in favor of rebuilding the infrastructure. Also Calamity would face many of the same problems as Tandi as e would try to continue the NCR expiation, but through peace, which would later result in the biggest expansion of the NCR, with the least amount of resistance to it.

For any major conflicts the NCR gets involved with, well I would keep the Enclave off the table, so the likely big bad would eather be the Legon or some other threat. I do have in mind that the NCR would come in conflict with the great pirate fleets, but that's likely only after my War in the West idea, leaving a broken holy empire to war over what's left. But there are so many big bad villens they can face, either with Littlepip, or with a new hero. really the ideas are endless, but I do imagine that in the end, the NCR would eventually secede in their goal of reunifying Equestria under the ideals of friendship. but such roads are long and hard, as there is no miguffin to make things how they once were.
