Right, so I've finished my current batch of chapters, and now at the point where I'm not quite sure how close I am to being done. Unfortunately, this story was always a bit loose, and other then the beginning and end, wasn't all that thought out. (Thuse a major rewrite was needed) But I promise that it's not going to be as aimless as V1, though it being aimless was part of the point. Still, Platinum Hill isn't a place I can just cut short, as it's turning out to be a really fun city state in the middle of nowhere, with a lot of its own insulated problem. Also, the factions get a lot more flushed out, and as you see from this chapter, the Desperados are getting a lot of attention, and I mean a lot.
Truth be told, having the factions get a proper explanation in story has been a big issue, as like with groups such as Orthrus, and of cores the Pirates, it's been vague and with a lot of missing parts. And I think that's why this story is ending up so much bigger then the last, as Lore is what this story is turning out to be all about. Platinum Hill is a place of history, protected by those who revere that history, and surrounded by those with their own history. Where in most places in the Wasteland the history has been lost, or missinterpreted, here it is alive and well.
Like with the Privateers, I'll need to do the same for the Desperados too, though not with as long of a history, I will need to flesh them out more as the story goes deeper into their lands. Well, if you love lore, be sure that you will love the next couple of chapters.
