Breaking Point · 2:33am Feb 3rd, 2022

Thistle walked out as soon as Stinger and Mitchell left the scene. That was something… she thought, still not being able to shake off the sight of Mitchell kissing the other changeling.

She didn’t have a problem with it, really. But how long have those two been… well, a thing? And how was she supposed to explain this to Midnight?

“Thistle?”

Speak of the devil.

The pink changeling turned to see Midnight walking up to her. “You look like you just saw a zombie. What’s up?”

“Midnight… I uh… um…”

“…What’s wrong?”

Thistle sighed heavily; she knew she couldn’t keep this in. “I… I just saw Mitchell. He… he was kissing and holding Stinger,” she stuttered out.

She tensely waited for a response.

“…Huh.”

“…What?”

“Heh. Who knew? I figured he would’ve found someone else by now.”

Wait… what?

Thistle felt her body shaking. “That’s… that’s it?”

“What’s it?”

“I mean, you finally came back after six years to see your boyfriend making out with some other guy and that’s your only response to this whole damn thing?!” she yelled out, making Midnight flinch. “Heck, after so many years, does anything that happens to him even faze you anymore?!”

Midnight stayed quiet.

Thistle took a deep breath. “Let me get this straight. You teleported away from that explosion and made it out alive. Okay, that’s cool. But then what? What happened after that explosion? Tell me, I’d really like to know.”

“Thistle…”

“Go ahead, Midnight. Tell me at least one reason—one damn good reason—why you stayed silent for so long despite surviving that dynamite. Tell me why you waited six years to finally show back up. Tell me if you were ever informed that Mitchell spent all those six years drinking and drowning his sorrows in a bar because he thought you were dead. Go ahead, tell me.”

Midnight went pale. “I… I…” She still had absolutely nothing to say.

“…Why am I even surprised anymore?” she breathed out as she furrowed her brow and turned around. “You wanna leave him be? Give your lil’ Nighty some space? Fine. You do you.”

“Thistle, please, I—”

She gritted her teeth and left.

Not gonna lie, that ending was hard to write. Not for the reasons you think.

Yeah, I honestly kinda felt bad. Like these two had a sisterly relationship when they were younger, and look what happened now

True there…

It’ll take these two quite a while to make amends.

Alright, I gotta ask. Is there a reason these are being written as blog posts, instead of a story? Because it sounds like there is some backstory to this post, and I'm not sure where I'm supposed to look for it.

These usually aren’t long enough to be considered actual Fimfiction stories. For context for this specific storyline, check these out.

Though, now that you mention it, I honestly should put these aside and focus on my real stories. I’ve been having a lack of inspiration and motivation for my ongoing stories, and by writing stuff like this, I’m kinda trying to get back into it.

Anyway, I apologize for the confusion.

Alright, thanks for the context.
